Tristan Xerri has the scalp of no less than Max Gawn on his belt already this season, albeit Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin attributed that to a family illness in the presser after the game. Xerri is vying with Gawn and Max Grundy for the title of #1 ruckman, and while he doesn't have the supreme tap skills of Jarrod Witts or the all-round game in between stoppages of Tim English, he could be one of the top two fantasy scorers in the ruck position by season's end. Today he meets Witts, who will probably edge him in hit outs but will get the run around from the more mobile Roo.
