Charlie Comben has been one of the finds of the season, a long-term prospect drafted four years ago by North Melbourne who has shown that he very much belongs at the level now that he has finally had an injury-free run at it. He began his senior career at centre half back but has been tried up the other end with excellent results, not necessarily due to his own form but just as a structural necessity unlock the best game for gun full forward Nick Larkey. With Griffin Logue returning to the side in defence, it looks like Comben may stay in attack in the near future.
