Steven Salopek has been a frustrating fantasy prospect over the last two seasons, teasing his owners by scoring highly as an "unique" pick before succumbing to an injury mid-to-late-season and forcing a trade when they needed him most.
Sal has moved to half-back this season but still started the year well, averaging 102 in Dream Team and 110 in Super Coach over the first six games.
A shoulder injury in round 7 resulted in a minimal score, and grouping that with a traditional low score in his return game against Sydney in round 9 and a recent poor outing against Fremantle has dropped his price to the point where he is a clear bargain.
When on the field, Salopek consistently finds 20 possessions and makes up for his lack of tackles with the ability to find space and take marks.
His superior ball use and healthy kick to handball ratio make him an asset in both DT and SC, though the obvious concern is whether he will last the season.

Steven Salopek vs W. Bulldogs, R16 of 2010by m0nty
• Great player, would look great in a Saints jumper. Might not be at the power next year, any good for 2011 at a different team? - hayes15 - 2 months ago
• I wouldn't go near him, too risky. - dewarb02 - 12 months ago
• only consider in 2010 if he is classified with back eligability. still very injury prone - chadwick - 12 months ago
• Salopek is very frustrating to have in your side - Big V - 13 months ago
• which 2 should i choose out of these 3 players? salopek, m.mcveigh and b.green..... help would be appreciated - C-Dogg - 14 months ago
• Look at Salopek's scores last year, they were awesome excluding the 44 in which he got injured but ever since his new role, he is not getting a lot of pts and minimal time in midfield. He is a midfielder who can kick goals and Mark Williams have to realise this!!! - SungMach15 - 14 months ago
• I know him. Good bloke. Gun DTer. - xztatik - 14 months ago
• Still recovering from injury, he is getting more of a run in midfield now but mainly plays the rebounding half-back role. He still had 21 possessions but only 2 marks and no tackles. DW next week he should have more marks and tackles than handball receives >. - SungMach15 - 14 months ago
• What's going on with Salo? Still injured? Change of role? He's scoring so crap - Grovesy - 14 months ago
• I had him at the start LOL, if u guys wanna pik him up, wait one more week cause then he will be 300k and then upgrade ur rookies to him. - SungMach15 - 14 months ago
• yeh but see how he has never had a full season?? tis a bit worrying - smitbr - 14 months ago
• can't wait to jump on the gun when he drops to about 300k - Hball - 15 months ago
