Leigh Montagna is just is one member of an elite midfield unit, but fantasy wise he is arguable the best Saints midfielder. After a great 2009 season averaging 115.8 in Dream Team and 125.1 in Supercoach, Montagna has backed it up with another great start to 2010 proving that it was no fluke. He has had eight DT and SC tons this year, and some sub-150 scores to boot. His consistency is what separates him from his fellow midfield group, seeming to cope with a tag when it is applied. Having increased his goal average to 0.9 per game in 2010 with the absence of Nick Riewoldt, he has only missed three games since the start of the 2006 season, providing great durability. Due to a 74 and 92 (SC) in his rolling average between rounds 7 and 9, coaches saw his price hit a tempting $535,700 at a time when many where looking to upgrade their cashed-up mid-field rookies. by litjen
