PLAYER DISCUSSION
really happy with watts, i downgraded yarran to watts and made about 180k out of the trade, getting in a guy who should (cross fingers) play every game from here on in and score 60-70's. great 9th forward - sunny_side_down - 1 months ago
I bet they don't. Saw him last week and he just has the looks of an awesome full forward. May take a few years but I recon he will show why he was pick 1 and im not a melbourne supporter - Fenno - 2 months ago
bet the dees wish he was nicnat - KeeeeesYYY - 2 months ago
Any reason he's been struggling the last 2 weeks? He looked good in his first 2 games, particularly as a lead up CHF. - RCRM - 2 months ago
either would i NADO95 - EAGLE4LIFE - 3 months ago
I wouldn't say 'man' - NADO95 - 3 months ago
finally, the man gets a game - MQuimby - 3 months ago
when hes better i think he will be a great pick up - Swanny_LEG - 5 months ago
hes got a back injury and is pretty doubtful, but I couldn't see him posting any high scores in the first few rounds anyway. Get someone cheaper and likely to play the first few rounds then sell for watts if he has shown any high scoring potential. - smajda - 5 months ago
Will this kid be a round 1 starter? - TOM15 - 5 months ago
on in 2010, confidence, priority, preseason, game time= less mediocre scores I hope - toodledock - 6 months ago
IMO: Watts is in a similar situation to Nick Nat. The skill is there, but he needs to learn how to read the gameplay a bit better. It's obviously only going to happen with more gametime. I don't think there's anything else to explain it. Add monkey luv's opinion to this, it all makes sense. Heard so much bs about this guy. If he turns out like Leigh Brown, then pay him out. - The3rd - 12 months ago
Of course he will take time, none of us can pass judgement on what we've seen so far. He's still just a kid whose 195cm and still only 83kg! He has a huge amount of potential but like any KPP it'll take time. If anything he will be a good buy for 2011 imo - monkey luv - 12 months ago
give him a break hes still a school and a tall player so he will take a while to develop - lankers23 - 12 months ago
Baha. You're a joke BigV. You know nothing about footy if you compare Watts to either Selwood or Rich. Jack Watts should not have been #1 pick let alone in the top 10 imo. - Russo - 12 months ago
And on what basis do you say that? - Murphy2Jud - 12 months ago
Watts will be the next Daniel Rich or Joel Selwood in the near future. - BigV - 12 months ago
probably not monkey, but a debutant has never been as expensive as watts either. Usually the no1 pick starts $30,000 less. - Philnc - 12 months ago
he'll still be a big gamble for next year - but his price may go down. Does anyone know has there ever been a case of a rookie in DT/SC who has lost money in their debut season??? - monkey luv - 12 months ago
will be a good buy next year - lankers23 - 12 months ago
