  • 2017 DT PRE-SEASON OUTLOOK (posted 2016-12-03 03:38:52 by m0nty)
    Glass shatters for Sandilands
A rib injury in round 3 last year derailed the seasons of Aaron Sandilands and, to a large extent, Fremantle. He showed he still had it by bossing the Bulldogs in round 23. His disposal counts hover around 10, while his hit out dominance has actually grown late in his career, with a 43.6 average in 2015.
Not many ruckmen are still standing up for full seasons at the age of 34. Sandilands will most likely retire at the end of 2017... if not before. A significant injury would probably lead him to cut rope early to give Sean Darcy a run. Drafting him anywhere before late rounds could lead to a big bust. Risk averse coaches will leave him to others.

I'm not sure I can trust the advice regarding any Dockers players by a bloke with the name WCE-2011. also, 7 weeks until the real stuff begins, that's plenty of time for the man to get fit. - Mr Ploppy - 69 months ago
