It could have been a lot worse for Carlton’s Heath Scotland and other premium players who picked up knocks this week, as injury lists shorten.

INJURIES

Colin Garland: Minded Varcoe… 5 marks and 10 disposals plus 3 tackles… left knee knock in Q4 and shut down
Cameron Hitchcock: 1.1 from 2 touches on Farmer… sprained left AC joint in Q2
Ben Griffiths: First game… 5 disposals on Chaplin… injured his thigh in Q3 and did not return
James Polkinghorne: Forward tag on Shaw… 9 touches… corked thigh and mothballed
Nathan Bock: Had Goddard at CHB… 25 possessions and 9 marks with 4 tackles… tweaked his groin in Q4
Campbell Brown: 13 disposals and 4 marks… knock to a knee in Q3 and it’s his PCL… 4-6 weeks out
Heath Scotland: 26 possessions and 6 marks plus 1.1… injured left ankle/knee in Q4

Harvey is expected to play next week.
Scotland’s injury was a “corked shin” and he should also be fine.
Garland’s knee was said to have only been “jarred”.
Tom Scully and Jack Trengove will be straight back in this week to join Jordan Gysberts.
Matthew Scarlett will be out until at least round 13.
Darren Glass is a chance for the Geelong game this week at Subi.
Paul Medhurst is pushing for selection in the VFL.
Robbie Gray is out for another 2-3 weeks with his back-related hamstring.
