Hey! I'd love to join your league - obviously if there's room (or wait list if there isn't) - it sounds awesome!
Finished 8565 last year, but was hurt by being overseas for a month (honeymoon - worth it, but destroyed my SC year!) - hope to finish much higher this year... (I know everyone says that, but I do spend quite a lot of time on my SC team & will really be pushing for a much higher finishing spot!)

Tragic!! I am feeling deflated, lost 3 of my league games with a score of 2374!
What a round, have seen one score of 2648 in the FF Gold league! Amazing! He was 243 overall, going up with that score too!!
think i'm letting the team down for overall league ranking

I am or will be in my own league through my work in 2013 which was in the top 5% of leagues. Does this league have a stand by policy for new teams should some of the 2012 teams not re register.
In other words what r the chances of someone new being admitted and what standard would you expect of them

hey basil, from memory about a third of the 2011 league members came back for 2012, so I'd expect around the same for 2013.
for FF Tragics you don't have to be of any particular standard, the only requirement is that if you come in, that you stick around for the whole season - also a bit of banter in the coaches box as well, wouldn't go astray. ;)
it's a league for those who are into 'fantasy AFL' a bit more than the norm and as you're on FF, I'm guessing that'd be you? ;)

cheers Grazz, as above - this league was just created for fun but last 3 seasons have always been super-competitive even with the 30% turnover rate of league participants, always close socring and ladder movement! :o 8) ;)

if we start to get to the 10 or more EOI mark, I'll start sorting out who's returning and who's new in a week or two so we get a better idea if there is going to be a wait-list at all ... but i don't think so, though I should wait as with last year to at least a couple of weeks before footy starts ...
No doubt you'll get a few late back who will want to go again i usually have the same issues each year so having a list of emergencies is handy. Those that are late getting back do cause you and your emergencies a bit of grief as everyone wants their 5 leagues sorted as soon as possible but what can you do other than the best you can.

As per 'tradition', last year's league participants get first dibs and we have a wait-list for any newbies interested in joining what I claim is one of the most competitive SC leagues on the planet!
[I generally give returning league members up until a couple of weeks before season kick-off to confirm their place for the new season and then open it up to the ever patient wait-list peeps]
There are no upsets in the FF Tragics league - in any given round the 18th positioned league member can smash the league leader and it's been that way the last couple of seasons - isn't that right Whatlez?? ;)
Doesn't matter what your ranking is as long as you're in it for the long haul (and a bit of banter in the coaches box doesn't go astray either).

I've just noticed this league is set on 'Public', you may want to change it to 'private'.

Ok sorry everyone, always seem to get 'smashed' at work just before the start of the footy season for some reason!!!
6 spots are left at the moment as far as I can see and PMs have gone out to the first 6 on the wait-list above.
Having said that, there looks to be enough for a Tragics 2 Capper/tabs?? (already got 10 w/out the top 6)
i'm cool either way and confident we'd fill both leagues without too much trouble??

From breifly looking it at over the weekend i believe there were 14/18 before lockout, then it was filled so we may have a few spots been filled by outsiders....

Ok, pretty much the qtr season mark, so time for a review ...
League rank = 754th of 28,985 - bit up and down but never really been about league ranking, usually the 'scraps and scrags' internally. ;)
Avg score: 2,062
Top 8 at the moment are Hawker_08 followed by last years premiership coach Rusty00, Typhoon and yours truly, perthwildcat, BGK, colmullet and Ringo rounding out.
Very surprising is upthemaidens and 2013 premiership coach Hagebear bringing up the rear but sure they will be back up soon, not just because they are good coaches but because no-one is ever out of calculations in FF Tragics - one of the most competitive leagues on the planet!!! ;)

Was sitting 75,000th and thought "well can't get any worse" but wouldn't you know it, managed to drop another 3,000 spots this week ::)
Oh well I'm not one for giving up. With basically all the good rookies and piles of cash in hand, May will hopefully be better than April.

You are not alone maidens. I am having my worse start to SC for 3 years. despite scoring 2120 last week still dropped 4500 places. Seems to be very competitive this year,

Whilst we hate where we are shows the benefits of joining really competitive Leagues, In this League despite winning last week dropped 3 places and in another League I am in have a 3/1 record and am 7th. All have 7 of us have 3/1 record,

ok, has been a while since we've properly updated and I wonder how FF Tragics 2 is going? (update Capper/tabs??)
Alrightly, finals are 2wks away and yet again I submit that FF Tragics is living up to the unofficial tag-line of ... "One of the most competitive leagues on the planet!!!" ... :o
We have a dominant league leader in Hawker_08 on 14wins, 56pts and a 3 game lead on 2nd placed Rusty00!! :o
However, down in the trenches it looks like even as high as 4th placed Hellopplz (40pts) could amazingly (though unlikely) fall out of the top8 if all results go against him ... whereas even 13th placed DazBurg (24pts) is still a decent mathematical chance (although I was always cr*p at maths I must admit) to make the finals! ;D
Realistically however, places 8th to 11th (clint_001, Luigi197, Ringo, Perthwildcat) are still in the hunt on 32pts!!!
Anything could happen with only 2rds to go!!! :o :-X 8)

8th to 12th on the same points with 13tha and 14th another game back
Matches against 11th (also on 32 points) and 1st :-X
But just quietly, am finding some dangerous form, so beware ppl ;)
And in the Finals Rusty is taking on J for the title this season, and both were within 60ish points of each other last week. But Rusty is up in the rankings so goes in as the favourite. Good luck fellas, make it a good Final!

Yes he was very positive. Does any one know for certain though. Suspect this to be the case as he has not been on the forum since May last year. A number of us had PM's with him but they stopped.

Ok, last season's coaches have unfortunately gone past the 'dead-line' ...
PM gone out to Money Shot as 1st on the waitlist - 1st in, 1st served ... the remaining coaches from last season might still pip you so beware! ;)
Otherwise you've got til this Fri evening 7pm AEDST to get in and then I'll PM caluuum and so on til we're filled.

Anyone interested can check out the history of the league on the first page of this topic with the 1st post (you might have to scroll down a bit as I add the current year to the top of the post) ...
Happy to have people on a 'wait-list' if any of 2017's coaches do not return to the league by the start of the JLT/NAB/whatever they're calling the pre-season matches this year ... no ranking requirement necessary, just a commitment to play out the season and preference for some banter here on FF or in the 'coaches box' in the league page ...

FF TRAGICS league has had a relatively lengthy history that you can see in the beginning of the thread ... it's always been a super-competitive league over the journey and I have no doubt it will be the same this season despite the challenges for the game ahead ...
I personally have been up and down since before Christmas and haven't been able to get on FF of late, but back on board now, hopefully the season can go through ...
