This kind of fantasy game has existed for years.

Getting 18 blokes to commit to putting the time aside for the draft is the challenge. :-[

Yeah, that's gonna be the big problem; organising a time suitable for everyone to participate.

If that's the case we'll cut it off, but if we suddenly get more people wanting in, maybe we can set up two leagues.

Awesome! Yeah, apparently you had to have supercoach gold this year to do it, but in 2013 it's free. ::)

I'll add your name.

Next thing to do is organise a time, but that's not really a big deal until the new year when Supercoach opens.

We all spend enough time on here. Im sure we will find time to spend on SC :P

Does the whole draft have to be done at once or can people just log on and take their turn when its up to them and then log back on later on to see if its their turn again etc?

If the same as previous years, the draft is carried out at one time slot ,but you can preselect your draft choices.
So if you arent there at the time of your pick it takes your next available pre selection.

I might as well just use greenmoon's post as a quote to answer this. Basically, you'll get the chance to preselect players and if they're available they'll automatically get picked for you. So, you can basically shortlist a whole team full of players if you're not going to be on and let them game pick the players off your list.

Also, you're right quinny. If we're all on here, we should be able to work out a time.  :P

I asked Al Patton (journalist at the HS) about the draft game.
I asked him is it 10 or 18 people in a league and how many players in a squad.
Here was his response
Quote“@al_superfooty: @jroo8 details to be finalised but there will be a lot of flexibility so you can make those sort of decisions yourself”

Cheers for this, JROO! Think it helps everyone out a lot.

QuoteSuperCoach draft also brings a new level of flexibility and customisation to the game - you can set up your league to run exactly how you want it.

Users can set up leagues of six, eight, 10 or 12 teams, choose their preferred fixture and whether to play finals or head-to-head matches, or just compete for total points.

There are seven options for team squads, ranging from 12 players to 22.

A rolling lockout every weekend is optional, and so is giving double points for your captain.

And players will also have a huge say over their league draft - which can be conducted live, automatically or in users' own time based on several formats - and trading rules.

Unlike traditional SuperCoach, there are unlimited trades in SuperCoach Draft and players can orchestrate trades between each other - but other players in their league will have the option of a veto to prevent Kurt Tippett for Jesse White style shenanigans.

So guys, we can vote on the options of: teams per league, players per squad etc.

EDIT: Just did a quick count. We have 18 people who have registered their interest, we can either have 2 leagues of 10 or 3 leagues of 6.

I'm in. Never tried a draft-based fantasy game before so it'll be a good challenge.

Also with the customisable squad size i think we should play with 22 players per team, really separates the men from the boys.

Good onya Koop! We now have enough for 3 leagues of 8.

I'll randomise the leagues too, so they won't be as listed. But I'll post them up in the OP when I'm done.

Nah, don't need SC Gold for this. It's free this year. We'll have 3 admins - 1 for each league. They'll set it up and provide the people in their league with the code or whatever. Jay's got League 3 and I'm in League 2, we'll get someone for League 1 soon. I'll have a look at how it all works then get the admins to PM the codes or whatever to notify people and get a suitable time organised.

Suppose now's a good a time as any to sort out the rules.

8 teams obviously, I'd say either 15 or 22 players, none of this 12 player rubbish. Head to head league with finals of course, not sure about the fixture repeat and open to suggestion for which round we should start. A snake style draft seems the most fair and probably a day as the time to make your pick in the draft. Not sure about rolling lockout as it could give some an unfair advantage, obviously yes to captains not sure about the auto emergency though and i think we should have trade waivers on with a 1 day tome period not sure about the order policy though. Not so sure about trades though as it could be argued that if both coaches agree to a trade it should be fine but some might want a say in it.

Just my opinion, completely open for suggestion.

LEAGUE CUSTOMISATION OPTIONS

I'm putting a strike through the options we won't use, the rest can be voted by people. Simply leave a post below with your preferred option for each one that I have put 'open to voting' next to in bold, please and thanks lads.

League Type (private or public):
* Private league - This type of league has a League Commissioner who will need to invite people to play in the league
* Public league - Will be advertised on the site and open for anyone to join. You may also invite others, until the league is filled up

- League size
(choose 6, 8, 10 or 12): Select the number of users.

- Head-to-head (yes/no): A fixture is generated for teams to play against each other every round. Otherwise the teams are ranked based on total points only.

- League finals series (yes/no): If activated, the final four rounds in your league will consist of a top eight finals series, as used by the actual AFL (available for leagues of 8 teams or more only).

- Fixture repeat (choose 1,2,3 or 4): In head-to-head leagues, select the number of times that your fixture repeats (i.e. how many times each team will play every other). OPEN FOR VOTING

- League start round: Select the round when you'd like to start your league competition. OPEN FOR VOTING

- Draft type (Live, Auto or Live One Computer)

* Live Draft - takes place with all members of the league selecting a player turn-by-turn
* Auto Draft - teams are automatically selected based on each users' pre-draft selections, as they stand at the set draft time. No manual player selection or draft takes place.
* Live One Computer - The live draft takes place on one computer (on the creator/commissioner login) with each user taking turns to select a player on the same computer. A draft may also be completed offline, with selections made by a single person at the set Draft Time. (available to private leagues only) OPEN FOR VOTING

- Draft order (Snake, Linear, Banzai):
* Snake Draft - the order of selections is reversed each round
* Linear Draft - the order of selections stays the same each round
* Banzai Draft - the order of selections reverses in round 2, stays the same in round 3, and then continues as per the Snake Draft.

- Draft turn time: Select the maximum amount of time that each user will have to make a selection during the live draft. Each user will be able to make their pick when the previous user has completed their selection. If the draft is not completed by the league's starting round, it will auto-complete based on each user's pre-draft priority list.
* 60 seconds
* 90 seconds
* 2 minutes
* 5 minutes
* 10 minutes
* 30 minutes
* 1 hour

* 1 day
* No limit

- Draft date and time: Set the date for your draft to take place

* Private leagues - Commissioners may change this after the league is created.
* Public leagues - The date and time is locked in, unless the league fails to fill by the required time. If the league is not completed, the league creator may reset and update the draft time.

TEAMS, TRADING & GAMEPLAY SETTINGS

- Captains (double points):

Yes/No

- Auto Emergency:
Yes/No - (With auto emergency enabled the player with the lowest score on the bench replaces a player with 0 points on the field).

- Rolling Lockout:
Yes/No - (With a rolling lockout players lockout at the start of each game. Otherwise all players lockout at the start of the first game.)

- Field Layout/Squad size:
How many players in squad, designated as DEF-MID-RUC-FWD / BENCH OPEN TO VOTING - WILL BE 15, JUST DEPENDS WHICH STRUCTURE PEOPLE WANT

2-2-1-2/5 =12 players

2-3-1-2/4 = 12

2-2-1-2/8 = 15

2-3-1-2/7 = 15

3-3-1-3/5 = 15

3-4-1-3/4 = 15

5-6-2-5/4 = 22

- Trade waivers (yes/no): With trade waivers enabled (highly recommended), dropped players from squads are entered into a waiver system (instead of becoming free agents), with a priority list as to which teams will have first choice to pick them up. OPEN TO VOTING

Waiver time period:
* 1 day
* 2 days
* 3 days
* 4 days

- Waiver order policy (Reverse Ladder, Last Pick to Bottom): SUBJECT TO ABOVE
* Reverse Ladder (recommended) - the waiver order is reset at the end of the round, with the lowest ranked team having the first priority of selecting from the waiver pool.
* Last Pick to Bottom - The order is never reset - users go to the bottom of the priority order after each successful pick.

- Inter-team trading options
(League approved, Commissioner approved, free-for-all trades): OPEN TO VOTING
* League approved - Other coaches in your league have an option to 'veto' trades proposed between teams. A proposed trade will not be completed if 40% of your league's coaches vote to veto the trade.
* Commissioner approved - The league commissioner is the only person who must approve or reject any proposed trade
* Free-for-all trades - all proposed trades between teams (when accepted by the relevant coach) are completed immediately.

I would have, but by the time people vote on each option, it could be a while. Then, we also have to get the drafting done by the time SC starts which could also take a while.

- Fixture repeat (choose 1,2,3 or 4): 2

- League start round: Round 3 (4 weeks for finals, dont play bye weeks, play each team twice)

- Draft type (Live, Auto or Live One Computer) - Live Draft

TEAMS, TRADING & GAMEPLAY SETTINGS

- Field Layout/Squad size:
How many players in squad, designated as DEF-MID-RUC-FWD / BENCH OPEN TO VOTING - WILL BE 15, JUST DEPENDS WHICH STRUCTURE PEOPLE WANT: 3-4-1-3/4 = 15

Needs to be league approved, we use League approved in NFL and it works much better than free for all or boss approved. This way everyone can have a say in regards to the trades

all i can say is be very aware of this, free for all trading means that people can trade in good players for lesser players on a "gentlemans aggreement" to trade them back in order to win against a stronger line up. This is too say that some of these players may not be traded back.

There will be fights, there will be wars, but if thats what the majority want, then go for it!!!!

This wont only upset the team with the lesser players but other teams that they play the good team later down the track

Oh okay, this makes a lot more sense. I think I'll have to make it league approved then, we don't want anything like that happening.

Yeah I agree, it should be league approved than.
But the only problem is, do we have to wait for every coach to approve/cancel the trade or is there a time limit?

there is generally a time limit, once the trade has been announced you have 24-48 hours to yah or nah the trade. If you do not vote then i think your vote counts as +1 for the trade

I'll do whatever.. If theres an option for slow or fast drafts,, fast are way better. Like 3 minutes a turn over a couple of hours.

I reckonm less than 3 minutes... Should have like 1 minute for your pick. Otherwise will take forever! PLus you should know who's better anyway and know who you would rather before hand!

Yeah ,but its not like people have to take the full amount of time for each pick. If everyones on and organised it goes pretty quick.

Yep, this is the problem. That's why I rather give it a day since some people work 9 to 5, some have school and whatnot. But I'll make sure they all get moved along at a good pace so that they're dragged out since there'll be a bit of drafting to do. 8 people per league picking 15 players could take a bit of time.

Think  just go with majority rules and if someone is unable to do it at a particular time, then they just need to have their pre-selections sorted out beforehand.

+1 If the guys are on here getting involved in leagues they are unlikely to leave us hanging for too long, but finding a time to suit everyone across the country is gonna be hard.

Having said that, when I played the DT one last year, pre draft you could select the order of players you wanted in case you missed the draft, so it wasn't just a random selection

Yep, that's the thing, we can probably shorten the pick time and just have people set preferences if they feel they won't be able to actively take their pick.  :)

Would be awesome if you could pre select the order. Then would be no need to sit the draft :). Would be tougher but.. Not knowing if you need a defender of forward or whats best next ha!

Yeah I could probably do it during the season, it's just I don't really have the time to put a proper effort into drafting for this comp over the next couple of months and if I didn't have a team as strong as I want it to be, I wouldn't want to play.

Yep, but once you've picked it'll go on to the next guy. However, if you're 1st or 8th you'll get double picks because it's a snake draft. Preferences can be set.

I would think so. Need all 8 to join the league first, then I assume it would generate the draft order. Preferences can be set now though.

Its a good thing with the length of time available between picks.
Because ever since  supercoach pro has been running when the live draft was on,there would be some sort of meltdown
freezing your ability to see when your pick was and missing your pick or picks.
So you would have to log off and log back on all the time.
Title: Re: The Supercoach Draft Game (If involved please read)
Post by: Nige on February 01, 2013, 02:46:32 PM
Everyone should note that after a bit of discussion this morning, the time per turn to pick will be shortened significantly to keep it moving. If this means you have set preferences, do that.  :)

Have joined and looks like you will be unable to set up pre draft picks till league filled.

Like the idea of pre picked as if time is missed you will get your highest placed player remaining only downside would be if player was not the position you needed to fill. Much better than an auto pick player.

Agree with shortening the time to pick from the initial 24hrs but think down to 5 minutes or less may be a bit much.  Bear in mind we do not start our comp for 63 days.

The idea was that we needed to keep it flowing rather than people take advantage of the longer period. But yes, there's a bit of time until it starts. Can always bump it up to 10 minutes or half an hour or something.

Also didn't realise that the league had be filled before people could actually set preferences. I would have thought people could do that from the start, must have missed it.

What you could try Nigeys, is start the draft with 12 hour per pick and if its going to slow after a week or so, change it to 3 minutes a pick for the rest of the draft, just to get it completed..

What you could try Nigeys, is start the draft with 12 hour per pick and if its going to slow after a week or so, change it to 3 minutes a pick for the rest of the draft, just to get it completed..

I do like the idea, but am I actually able to do that?  :o

I'd say go with an hour per pick

I've edited the poll to get opinions, but the discussion and opinions via posting are always welcome still.

dont think you can adjust the time while draft is going
Oh ok, in Ultimate Footy last year we could change mid-way through, so I thought it would be the same with this.

The problem is, A coach is either at their computer or they're not.
So its better to have either 12-24 hours(slow draft) or 1-3 minutes(fast draft)

Yeah, that's why I originally had it at a day. With work, school, uni and other commitments, it gives time for people to pick.

Also, have the two of you joined the draft league yet? I have PM'd you both the code.

I think if we start this as soon as everyone is in;
We can do the up to 12 hours time limit to do your pick.

draft time is an interesting 1. If 8 players picking 30 players each take 1 minute to pick then the draft will take 4 hours to do. picking in 1 minute will be hard though. if you set it to an hour then what if it your time and its at 5am in the morning.

If we get everyone joined asap and get the draft going whilst everyone is online then it should get done pretty quickly.

Im going to vote for 5 mins, but hopefully people pick quickly

would prefer 10 - 15 mins to be added to Poll - That would be my preferred at 10 minutes - without meaning to be rude what if you were in the bath room when your pick came up.

Understood. I guess this is why I can't stress enough why people should have an idea of who they want to pick and maybe select preferences. No matter the pick time, it's gonna inconvenience at least somebody. Although it's not listed, I do like 10 minutes as a time.

I would like to join if there was a spot but if the time of the draft is 9pm or later i can't. as my brother uses the computer as i am undergoing Chemotherapy for Bowel cancer i can't stay up real late so you are probably better inviting someone else for the last spot.

There is a spot in league 3 available - will PM you the code if you're keen. Draft time will be 9am, 16th of Feb if that suits.

You're welcome to join mate. We've had some withdrawals and so there are two spots that need filling. Jay looks happy to accommodate you, so all should be well.

And really sorry to hear about the cancer too, hope you're okay and that everything is fine. Keep fighting.

Hey Nigey,
I think we should reconsider the auto emergeny, because with no rolling lockout and no emergency you will  play short.
Last year i had 2 late withdrawals and with no cover you end feeling showerhouse.
It does happen quite a bit.

Lord knows how we're gonna find a time to suit everyone...

Hard to tell how long it will take us to finish the draft. Ideally, I want it done in a matter of hours, but finding a time where that's possible is going to be tough considering there's a three hour difference between the east and the west...

Fair enough. I suppose if I make it midday then it should be okay. WA people will just have to have preferences set or be up at 9am knowing the draft is starting for them at that time.  :)

You must have misinterpreted what I said or not read it correctly. :P

I said I'd make it for midday on the east coast so that it's 9am on the west coast. The only other option would be to move it to the late afternoon/early evening east coast time e.g. 5/6pm, which means it would be roughly 2/3pm on the west coast which is still somewhat early. That way, if any of you are party animals and have commitments for later in the evening, you can still go out.

It will be hard to get a time that suits all because of issues such as meals going out etc. So we just have to ensure that we all have a pre draft order ready in case we are not available.

If we are allowed to re arrange lists during draft that will also assist if we are away for periods allowing for selections in required positions.

Exactly Ringo, this is why I can't stress enough how important it is that people have a pre-draft list just in case.

I think we can nominate a preferred pick from the list during the live draft, but we're not able to add a player to it. I'll have to double-check the rules on that unless someone else can verify it for me.

Unless things have changed Nigey your predraft selections are locked in when draft starts, but if you are online obviously you can pick whoever you want when its your selection.

Thanks Green moon - not involved last year - Was just wondering if I got a bathroom call when due to pick whether I could alter my order to have defender as next pick rather than mid who is next on list.  That is all.

Jay

Just some analysis

If we start at 9:00am on Saturday with 8 teams and 15 players and if everyone takes 5 minutes draft will take 10 hrs
(120 picks by 5 mins) Will shorten obviously if picks taken quickly. So worst case scenariou start at 9;00am and finish at 7:pm

or start at midday and finish by 10:00pm

If Starting at 6:00pm will finish at 4:00am which may be a little difficult for some coaches.

We are not going to please every one but I think the best time may be 9:00am and if announced people may be available and have any early night Friday ;D ;D
As a compromise maybe start at 11:00am taking West into consideration. (8:00am Western Time),

Picks have got to be 90 seconds only. People should know their preferences before the draft. Even 60 seconds would be fine i reckon!

leave it at 5 mins, people will know who to pick and will be quick.

The later the picks the slower the picks

Yup. Still reckon we can knock the draft over pretty quickly then. Picking a date/time now that we can book in  may be a good idea.

Guys, I'm definitely open to this as long as each league can agree on the starting date and time where everyone will be available. I guess 'booking' it now, roughly a month in advance, means that people know to keep that date/time clear to ensure they can draft.  :)

I would prefer late feb. Because i will be playing scratch matches for footy in march. The 2nd should be fine.. But probably not the 9th.

Well, it depends on each league admin and their group on when they want to start drafting date and time wise. I think everyone's opting for last week of Feb, first week of March so that we can watch a bit of the NAB Cup to help out the drafting.  :)

For some reason mine now starts at 183 pick as swallow and Ablett at 817

Is there a simple way to put it back to its original order?

If you go into the pre-draft area you can move selections up and down.

I know you can move them around but i'd rather just move a few around than have to do whole list from scratch.  Will take forever.  And want to know if anyone else has had this problem because my list has just put all to top 183 players at the bottom of the list for no reason.

I have an idea,, there are 3 leagues with (im guessing) 3 different draft dates.
If for example there are 1 or 2 coaches that cant make a particular draft i.e. David in league 1 prefers league 2's draft time and Bob in league 2 likes league 1's draft time, why cant they just switch leagues?
I realise its not gunna solve all problems ,but surely it may help in some situations.

Doing the draft thing last year. The actual draft itself is probably the best part of the whole thing.  If you can't be there for it, you basically are missing out on the main point of even playing it.

Guess what i'm saying is "set the times and dates for the draft and then let coaches figure out whether they are available".
If a coach needs to swap leagues, then (as long as there someone to swap with) let them. And if a coach needs to drop out then so be it.  ....  thats my 2 cents...

I like the idea quite a lot. Jay and Fish would have to tell me their times/dates though, and we'd need everyone to nominate their preferred time of the 3 available. I couldn't get on to Supercoach at all this morning to change the date and time though...

Yeah so just make sure that the drafts are on different days and different times
i.e - 3pm Sunday Feb.24th
     -6pm Saturday March 2rd
      -9pm Friday March 8th

That should accommodate most people and hopefully its an even spread.

When the league is full it does a random select for draft selection order then.
But it has changed from its original order as i definitely had second pick and you were first.

You're now 3rd and I'm 7th :(

It's already set the fixture as well.

I suppose it's been randomised already so randomising it again is unnecessary. I guess I'll just have to come to terms with not getting GAJ. :P

I've set my league's draft date and time to Saturday 5pm on March 2nd.
Ok well i'm unable to do that day because of Soundwave festival. So when will the other leagues be doing their drafts and does someone want to swap?

I don't wanna add insult to injury, but you're currently first in the draft order in our league. :P

We'll sort something out, I'll talk to Jay and Fish and see if anyone from their leagues can't do it on the dates they've set.

He also said he would chase up the two that haven't joined. I told him that if they don't respond soon we can get the people on the waiting list in.

Nigey and co.

I still intend om drafting this saturday at 10am. However am thinking of changing it until very late in the pre-season as would hate for someone to use a high pick only for the player selected to get injured, that would just ruin the comp for them

Have chased up all people signed up for league 3 and accordimg to Ringo still only have 6 >:( so I think 2 people on the waiting list should get the code :)

Probably best to do it halfway through or after the NAB Cup. Maxiboy4 and Spite were the two waiting, so if you wanna PM them asking them to join, that's cool. Also, do you know the two yet to join?

Yeah, could do that. Would require a person to set up and admin the league, as well as hand out the code. We still need 24 for the 4 leagues of 6 though and so I'm inclined just to keep it at 8 rather than doing a whole lot of adjusting.

At the moment, we have 3 leagues of 8. We'd have to cut 2 people from each and then get them into another...

But cant 1 league have 6 and the others 8,or is there a min of 8 per league. With 3 dif codes each could change independendly.

Oh yeah haha, I didn't think of it that way. Jay has sent/is sending the two guys on the waiting list a PM to see if they're still interested. If they're not, his league could probably just cut down to 6.  :)

I'm waiting for someone to come forward and say they wouldn't mind changing or can't do it on their date. From memory, I think noto said something about not being able to do it on the date his league is doing their draft.

I would prefer late feb. Because i will be playing scratch matches for footy in march. The 2nd should be fine.. But probably not the 9th.

Here. How about you move into my league which is doing the draft on the 2nd and upthemaidens moves into Fish's league?

Has anyone elses draft list changed on its own?

For some reason mine now starts at 183 pick as swallow and Ablett at 817

Is there a simple way to put it back to its original order?
If you go into the pre-draft area you can move selections up and down.

I know you can move them around but i'd rather just move a few around than have to do whole list from scratch.  Will take forever.  And want to know if anyone else has had this problem because my list has just put all to top 183 players at the bottom of the list for no reason.

My predraft list has now gone back to its original order without me changing anything.  This is a bit of a worry that this could happen after I put some effort in and change the order to how i want it.  What's going on??

If the Admins can lock in the draft dates, then all the coaches will know when to be available and would help alot.
Then whomever needs to move can work something out.

Think it is because we only have 7 out of 8 and settings have to be locked in 48hrs before the draft

If someone joins now we can get it at 9pm tomorrow - would then make picks like 2mins just to get through it quickly.

Or just push it back a week >:(

Well i'm fine with that,, as long as nobody minds (cant imagine why they would).  Then you should be able to draft tomorrow.  There is a 48 hour lock, so you might not be able too, but whatever

Hey Colli, at the moment, I think all three leagues have the numbers at the moment. However, I'm still waiting on Fish (FisherSaints) to get back to me on whether he needs numbers for his league. If a spot opens up, I'll let you know.  :)

Hmm, that's odd. I think Jay has set the draft for today actually, so maybe it won't let him leave, like they lock it all in 24 hours prior or something?  ??? Honestly, I'm not sure. Try to get into it again later anyway.

Nah I already have a SC draft league and nave teams in different comps (XVs,SC, DT) and I may be a little buys this year and dont want too many teams and I wouldn't want to pull out half way throught the year so I'd rather someone who actually wants to be in the draft.

there is a 48hr lockout before the draft if the league is full. We were in lockout mode when JROO wanted to leave but it is not possible to leave a league in lockout - and I would have told JROO this if I had known he wanted to swap. JRoo then removed himself from the whole comp unlike UTM who just removed himself from the leahue - difference is his league was not in lockout

we now have 8 teams in the league but 7 active coaches.

You wouldn't have to use a new email if you do what I did and remove your team from the competition.
You could still use the same e-mail just have to register again.

So with a frozen team, what will happen is he will draft next on the de-fault draft order list,, and no one will be able to trade with him..  Well its gunna be interesting  :P

.. personally I dont understand how he can leave once its in lock out, but it is what it is.

Well, shower happens I guess.  ::) Not much we can do really. Let's just move on? JROO is already in another league anyway, not like he's missing out completely.  :)
not about jroo missing out, its about making the league not as enjoyable for the other 7 :-\

Im sure you need a new email, jroo...
After I removed my team, I went and tried to register it again. It wouldn't let me join your league because it said it was full, so I think it should work with the same e-mail  ???

Will the rest of the coaches know beforehand?  I dont know what should be done.. can you contact SC and see if you can delete the frozen team,, then just find someone else, or play a 7 man league.

In Regards to Supercoach TradesCan the No1 Pick in Supercoach Drafts be traded with someone else in your league or are draft picks set.

If you don't want to be first I can change the order as well. I'll randomly generate it and the odds are you won't be first, if that's what you want.

So he wants to trade no 1 pick before the draft starts.
i think you would have to pick it first then ontrade later.
What would you want in exchange?

No I wont leave the league if not everyone knows.   I'm happy to play it as is, and see what happens. No one is advantaged or disadvantage by having a frozen team,, it's just gunna be alittle goofy, but no real dramas  :)

Yeah, to my knowledge, you can't trade it before the actual draft. However, if you organise with someone a trade to make after drafting is finished, that could work. Still a bit unsure why anyone would willingly palm off the first pick...  ???

Good question there,, Whats pick 1 worth? In relation to a double trade?
Pick 1+ weakest player  for  Pick 6 + (decent 2nd ruck)? (3rd Back)? ( above average Fwd)?

I literally just realised this. If whoever does get the likes of GAJ/Swan makes shower picks afterwards, if others draft cleverly enough, they'll probably be able to make up the difference witout the bonus. I guess the same could be said for having it on though, would require others to draft well to make up the extra 50-100 or whatever.

If you and your league wants them off, then yes. Creates a more even playing field really if you think about it. Consult your league first though.

Jayman I've just sent this e-mail..

Hello,
I was just wanting to make an enquiry/request in regarding 'SuperCoach Fantasy Draft'.   Code:395867   ..FF's Finest 3..
Basically whats happened is someone left the league, and because it is in the 48 lock-out that team has just become "Frozen".

The Draft is for tonight Saturday 16th Feb.  Is there some way to remove that team to make it a 7-man league instead?
The Admin. of the league has sent a request aswell.

The league is made up of coaches from "Fan Footy" Forum, and we are pretty passionate about our footy :)
Thankyou for any help in this matter.

After 1st pick the next pick you would have is Pick 16 after Ablett there wouldn't me many good midfielders at pick 16 although you do get pick 17 so i may as stick the pick i really want was 4th pick but Hawkalicious wouldn't trade it so its better if i stay with Pick 1. Was dumb me suggesting it.
As for the Frozen  team we had that problem in one of our YSCC Division leagues when someone gave up halfway through the season.

It's all random so the pick you get is just part of the game. Know exactly who I'm taking with pick 2 so bring on March 2nd. Think pick 4 could be a tough decision whereas pick 1 it's a no contest.

........Yeah who would of thought others would take them in their first picks.. barbies..... >:(    :)

Yeah Its all good,, So with Pick 8 and 9 , I ended up changing tact and grabbing Kennedy and Cotchin, so not all bad.
I do wish the Squads were bigger, just the 4 bench is abit limiting.
Think next year DT and SC will have more features to customize the drafts more.  And options to play more leagues.

Probably my fault for squad sizes. Did hold a vote though. However, I said I wanted it restricted to 15...I think next year I'll learn from the mistake.

Yeah I was meaning the bench size, I didnt think it could be more than 4..  Was there an option for that?
15 starting line-up is fine, but the bench should be like 10 or so.. gives some wiggle room if injuries hit.
.. Anyhow its all good.  I've got a team that may start slow, but if it makes the finals, will be an unstoppable force.  :)

Oh bench size, my bad. Thought you meant squads. Yeah, I think 4 on the bench is standard. Could be wrong, might have to check that.

I want to see someone like Dawson or Tambling get picked by accident for the lulz, I'd do it myself in our league, but being 7th in the order I can't do anything silly. Maybe they'll be bench options.  :o  ::)

picks stolen  :o off Colliwobblers: Zorko - Sloane  (Ringo was pick beofre me on the even rounds :) )

Love the Hibberd pick and the Bennell which was very late in the draft and also Rich and Pearce fairly late picks could pay off big time

you should be happy !

picks stolen  :o off Colliwobblers: Zorko - Sloane  (Ringo was pick beofre me on the even rounds :) )

Love the Hibberd pick and the Bennell which was very late in the draft and also Rich and Pearce fairly late picks could pay off big time
The joys of drafting - You jumped me with Roughead and Hanley. So bring on the comp.  May be interetsed in trading Bennell to get a mid dpp for flexibility but only a maybe.

I really haven't heard much from Fish about it, although I think the last I heard it was short of a coach.

The league in question is holding their draft on the 9th of March, there is time. Don't hit the panic button just yet.  :P

In regards to FF Finest 1 - Someone just suggested we bring the draft forward to 2nd and have 12hour picks. I am all for that if we can get the 8th person in soon first.

My league, FF's Finest 2 has their draft on the 2nd, I think we wanted each league having their draft on a different date just in case swaps had to be made.

8th pick :/

You've got the double pick every time you pick, that's pretty good, I'd love that. ::) I've got 7, so it's not all bad. I know who I want should he get there, but that's unlikely.  :-X

I'll make it SydneyRox

Label it "Supercoach Draft Game - FF's Finest 1"

Then in the OP ensure you state it isn't for people to join, but more of a banter and info thread for those already in the league. However, other coaches can also post, but the thread isn't for joining the league.

Nigey do you wanna make a second thread for banter and trade and pick commenting and offering etc. like FisherSaints did??

and you're right; pick 8 is good ;)
Hopefully no one has got Ablett on their radar. I reckon he can slip through :P
