This batting line up cannot continue we persist at our peril  :(

Well done to our boys and I know I have been banging on about our batting lineup but it worries me that we will take this lot into the ashes peoples thoughts ?

All hope lies in Clarke getting fit

Ringo

Haddin and Watson really look out of sorts batting wise so now would be the time to replace them to blood someone for the ashes. Win has definitely papered over the fragile batting line up.

To be fair this match was the best we have seen Watson bowl for quite a while but he is definitely not a number 3.

They make some nice coin from test matches, couldn't see them knocking that back.

They make far more from making themselves available for T20 leagues like the IPL and if the ICC started docking them $100 per over they were short ala Ringo's idea then what they got paid in tests wouldn't really matter, it would be easier to just not play

Moneys money mate.

a lot of passengers in this victory, Haddin and Watson need somebody to be pressuring their spots otherwise they wont go out and put in a good performance for fear of losing their spots. if Watson gets dropped he wont come back into the team.

Rogers I reckon has done enough to play boxing day.

That is a pipe dream they will repair his hammy but that is not his real problem , it's his back his hammy problems are only his body protecting his back and it will only increase with age , don't get me wrong I would love him to be there but I am a realist

Yeah, it's ridiculous how pretty much every team seems to only be able to do well at home these days.

Crazy. The excuse the commentators use is that they don't spend as much time in the country before the test matches start. Is this a reasonable excuse?

KoopKicka

bring in Ludeman! :D Rate him as the best pure gloveman in the country and as we saw the other night, very handy with the bat, even at shield level!

JBs-Hawks

He doesnt have much defensive technique so no cant see him ever playing test cricket.

Nige

Our next keeper will probably be somebody younger.

Potentially Matty Wade, but Sam Whiteman and Pete Handscomb might get a look or be considered.

I think there's a lot of reasonable excuses which combine to make the whole HGA. Pitch differences, climate - temperature+humidity and even things like altitude (Broncos in the NFL are at a high altitude and are always very strong at home), crowd and media factors, used to playing at the ground, referee influence (refs will always tend to slightly favour the home team), the list goes on.
