Welcome to the 2013/14  Trade Thread.

CHAT CLIENT TO USE FOR FF MEMBERS DURING TRADE WINDOWS TO DISCUSS TRADES:  http://www.ffelitechat.webs.com/

* If you need any info or help getting onto the chat ask almost any coach on FF will be able to walk you through it very simple.

TRADING

There will be two trade periods in each season.

Post Season.

AN AGREED TIME AFTER COMPLETION OF THE SEASON BEFORE THE NATIONAL DRAFT OF THE FOLLOWING SEASON

8 Week window to trade players, draft picks. Subject to extension on application by majority of teams.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF LIST CHANGES = 5

A team may trade any number of players and or picks within the list movements limit in any one trade or multiple trades.

A team may trade unequal numbers of players and or draft picks between itself and trading partner.

A list movment is counted as a change to your list as it was pre trading. player for pick counts, pick for player counts, pick for pick does not.

Players traded in can be traded out without this counting as a new list movement, likewise traded out players can be traded back in without this counting as a list movement.

Pre Season.

AN AGREED TIME AFTER THE PRESEASON/ROOKIE DRAFT PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SEASON

8 Week window to trade players only.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF LIST CHANGES = 5

SAME RULES AS ABOVE WINDOW/PERIOD

*IMPORTANT NOTES ON LIST MANAGEMENTS DURING TRADES*

* You may trade a rookie listed player for another teams senior listed player, or visa versa. BUT

- The player you trade in MUST go onto the same list that the player you traded out was on (senior or rookie)

TRADE BLOCKING / APPROVAL:

ALL TRADES ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO LEAGUE ADMINISTRATOR FOR APPROVAL.

All trades agreed upon are to be PM'ed to League administrator (Colliwobblers) by BOTH parties, for approval.

Trades approved will be posted below in Trades Approved and reflected in This Thread under final list lodgement.

All draft picks traded will be reflected in the updated draft picks post below as well as on the Trades Thread.

At the completion of EACH trade period, teams must delist players to bring their list to within the list limits being, Senior List = 40 players  + Rookie List = 6 players.

All delisted players following the POST SEASON trade period will go into the AXVS Rookie/preseason draft pool if still AFL listed.

NOTE ON DRAFTING: The AXVS Rookie/Preseason draft will be players in the AXVS undrafted pool + AFL preseason draftees. AND the AFL Rookie draftees.

* The AXVS undrafted pool and AFL preseason draftees can all go on EITHER your senior or rookie list.
* The AFL Rookie draftees can ONLY go onto your rookie list.

Teams will need to use a national draft pick to promote a rookie from their rookie list ( to be confirmed).

Undrafted National draft players will go into the preseason/rookie draft pool.

PROPOSED AND RULED ON TRADES - TRADE WINDOW #1

* TRADES MUST BE POSTED IN THIS THREAD IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT:

Eskimos give:  bla + bla
Vipers give: bla + bla

* YOU MUST POST THE TRADE USING THE TEAM NAME - NOT THE COACHES NAME.

TRADE WINDOW #1 TRADES:

TRADE #1: APPROVED

Eskimos give: NAT 17 + NAT 49 + Rookie 1

Tigers give: NAT 7 + NAT 39 + Rookie 39

TRADE #2: APPROVED

Mongolian Lambs give: Jarryd Lyons + Jake Spencer + NAT 46 + Rookie 14

Tibetan Llamas give: Thomas J. Lynch (GC) + Rookie 2

TRADE #3: APPROVED

Tibetan Llamas give: Mitchell Wallis, Brandon Matera

Vietnam Vipers give: Max Gawn, Bradly Hill

TRADE #4: APPROVED

BANGLADESH BEARS Give:  D. Stanley + R. Petterd + NAT 16 + NAT 32

VIETNAM VIPERS Give: M. LeCras + H. McIntosh + NAT 36

TRADE #5: APPROVED

Kathmandu give: Cyril Rioli + 33 NAT

Taiwan give: David Zaharakis + Aaron Edwards

TRADE #6: APPROVED

Strikers give: Steele Sidebotom + Scott Lycett + NAT 41

Dolphins give: Rory Sloane + Dan Jackson + Matt Rosa

TRADE #7: APPROVED

Bangladesh Bears give: Robert Murphy + Hamish McIntosh

Hong Kong Dongs give: Matthew Pavlich + NAT 29

TRADE #8: APPROVED

Bangladesh Bears give: Greg Broughton + Nathan Vardy + NAT #29 + NAT #36

Bangkok Crabs give: Dean Terlich + Jonathon Griffin + NAT #51

TRADE #9: APPROVED

Strikers give: Mitch Clark + Rookie 25

Folders give: Andrew Mackie + NAT 31 + Rookie 15

TRADE #10: APPROVED

Crocodiles give: Harley Bennell + Zac Tuohy + NAT 21

Dolphins give: Sidebottom + NAT 44.

TRADE #11: APPROVED

Kuala Lumpur give: Nat 5 + Rook 5 + Davis

Bangkok give: Darling + Nat 29

TRADE #12: APPROVED

Tigers give: Mark Baguley + Picks 17ND, 23ND,49ND

Gazelles give: Robbie Gray + Picks 26ND, 58RD, 74RD

Rationale: Baguley 21 games average 86 as a defender, Gray 18 games for a 97 average as a mid/fwd. Gray the more proven and better player but as a mid only potentially his value is lower as there is more depth at mid at that scoring level. Think Gray is a true premium and will improve going forward, but baguley will improve also and is a defender rare are defenders who can average 100 which baguley is already not too far off. The picks balance out the trade well enough.

TRADE #13: APPROVED

Tigers give: Lee Spurr + NAT 26

Head Hunters give: David Armitage + NAT 43

Rationale: Even trade players balanced by picks, not much to say here.

TRADE #14: APPROVED

Maniila give: Tom Bell + NAT 47

Head Hunters gibe: Josh Walker + NAT 26

Rationale: Even trade players balanced by picks, not much to say here.

TRADE #15: CANCELLED

Tigers give: NAT 43

Ales give: Matt Dick

Rationale: Trade based on another trade which was declined.

TRADE #16: DECLINED

Tigers give: Troy Menzel + Matt Dick

Vipers give: Shannon Hurn

Rationale: Vipers don't have the list movements to bring in two players.

TRADE #17: APPROVED

Tigers give: Issac Smith +  7 Rookie + 74 Rookie

Crocodiles give: Tom Bellchambers + NAT 37 + NAT 44 + 21 Rookie

Rationale: Even trade rising young mid for premium ruckman older. Close enough to even to go through.

TRADE #18: APPROVED

Tigers give: Menzel + NAT 37

Vipers give: Shannon Hurn

Rationale: Hurn a genuine premium defender coming off a down season likely due to waters out and being the only target for opposition taggers, menzel unknown but a high draft pick could be a player or not, Hurn still young also so trade balanced with a relatively late nat draft pick on menzel side. Even enough immediate win for tigers but over time if menzel develops trade will balance out or even favour vipers. Not even as it is today but even enough to go through.

TRADE #19: APPROVED

Taiwan gives NAT 21

Vipers give NAT 32 + NAT 37 and Rookie 36.

Rationale: Even trade of picks suits both parties.

TRADE #20: APPROVED

Tibet Give: N46

Kathmandu give: N39 + N7

Rationale: Part of trade in period #2. Reason for approval is trade is even enough, hombsch is a key defender of little value due to his position, Gaff is a potential elite midfielder. On the other side Neade is a small fwd capable of being a fwd #4 in most XVS once he hits his peak. May is a highly touted key fwd who has the potential to be a very good player and scorer in this comp. The Gaff side is still losing the trade but with picks 7 and 39 for pick 46 in the national draft the Gaff side may just be the winner.

TRADE #21: DECLINED

Bangladesh Bears give: Rookie 16

Kuala Lumpur Crocodiles give: Daniel Rich + Nat 29 + Nat 53

Taiwan Dolphins give: Jordan Lewis + Zach Tuohy

Bangladesh Bears get:

Kuala Lumpur Crocodiles get: Jordan Lewis + Zach Tuohy

Taiwan Dolphins get: Daniel Rich + Nat #29 + Nat #53 + Rookie #16

Rationale: Dolphins do not have the list moments to do the trade

TRADE #22: APPROVED

Tigers give: Farren Ray + 71ND

Headhunters give: Tom Bugg + 47ND

Rationale: Trade not exactly even but neither is it uneven enough to cause any concern to other teams.

TRADE #23: APPROVED

Australia Give: Danyle Pearce + Jarryd Blair + Rookie 40

PNG Give: David Swallow + Nat 27 + Rookie 27

Rationale: Trade is even enough swallow younger than blair and potentially much better but a way off catching up yet, pick exchange adds balance. Even enough

TRADE #24: APPROVED

Strikers give: NAT31 + ROK15

HeadHunters give: NAT59 + ROK40 + Matt De Boer

Rationale: Trade over two periods fairly even, no reason to block.

TRADE #25: APPROVED

Crocodiles Give: I.Smith

Dolphins Get: I.Smith

Rationale: Trade over two periods, borderline too strongly favouring the crocs who get 2 ultra premiums, and while the trade is slightly disadvantageous to other clubs for the immediate future in the long term it actually heavily favours the dolphins. Trade is even and well worked and due to the price being paid for the ultra premiums being fair and acceptable it is not classed as either hugely uneven or too disadvantageous to other clubs.

TRADE #26: APPROVED

Eskimos give: David Zaharakis + Liam Jones + Rookie 17

Ales give: Luke Breust + Taylor Durya + NAT 27 + NAT 40

Rationale: Nice even trade no cause for concern here well done lads.

TRADE #27: APPROVED

Manila gives:  Aaron Hall + NAT pick 26

Loas gives:  Alex Rance + NAT pick 22

Rationale: Rance the better player and a good defender often hard to find, but fwds are in high demand this season and score more here, balanced trade slight win for the folders but in no way uneven enough for any concern.

TRADE #28: APPROVED

Bangladesh give: Nat #48

PNG give:

Rationale: Two period trade, Pretty even trade here. Proven performer in Carrazzo who has had injury worries over the last couple of seasons so his currency is devalued. Evans looks to have good potential and the pick evens things out a bit..

TRADE #29: APPROVED

Dolphins give: Scott Lycett+ NAT 28

Strikers give: Matt Rosa

Rationale: I feel that this trade is a little uneven in favour of the Strikers, but not uneven enough to not allow through. Based on averages and potential, I feel that Guthrie and Lycett just about cancel each other out. That leaves Rosa for McGlynn and pick 28. Rosa had a poor year this year struggling with injury and if he can get back to his best scoring he will be a solid midfield player. McGlynn is a goalkicker so he will continue to score well and the pick does make it slightly uneven, but not by a margin that advantages one team over another by too great a margin.

TRADE #30: APPROVED

Elephants give: Scott Gumbleton+Rookie 22+Rookie 38

Dolphins give: Jordan Lewis+Rookie 28+Rookie 44

Rationale: Another fairly easy trade to approve here. Lewis is a proven premium, Gumbleton and Colquhoun are two players that will be solid depth as they develop and the picks also even things out a little.

TRADE #31: APPROVED

Ales give: Shane Edwards + Rook 24

Tigers give: Thomas Bugg + Rook 58

Rationale: Fairly easy trade to pass here, a couple of depth players balanced with a pick swap.

TRADE #32: APPROVED

Tigers give: Rook 71

Bears give: Rook 48

Rationale: Again pretty even here, Sandi and Sylvia should do better next year, but Hutchings looks like he will become a very good player.

TRADE #33: APPROVED

KATHMANDU GIVE: Trent Cotchin

BANGKOK GIVE: Harry O'Brien + Jared Polec + Rook 3

Rationale: There was much debate over this trade, but in the end it was decided that with the quality of players available at Rookie pick 3, the scoring power of Harry O and the potential of Polec, this trade was even enough to pass, even if a better deal could have been reached.

TRADE #34: APPROVED

Tigers give: Rookie Pick 24

Vipers get: Rookie Pick 24

Rationale: Part of deal involving Trade #9 in second trade period. Tigers wins now on averages, but Seedsman will become a mid only, if not next year then the year after. Rookie pick balances it slightly. Tigers wins short term, but Newnes should develop into a fine player to even it out.

TRADE #35: APPROVED

Bangladesh give: Rookie Pick 16

Taiwan get: Rookie Pick 16

Rationale: Part of trade #10 in second trade period. Adcock is a proven scorer but old and Terlich is young and has lots of potential, pick evens it out well.

TRADE #36: APPROVED

Crocodiles give: Daniel Rich + NAT Pick 29

Gazelles give: Sharrod Wellingham

Rationale: Part of trade #11 in second trade period. A win to KL in the short term, but with Essendon's forward line looking a little thin, Hurley should step up with extra responsibilities. Next year is probably make or break for him, so it is definitely a risky trade, but the addition of the draft pick makes things slightly more even. This trade is a bit uneven, but not too uneven to block.

TRADE #37: APPROVED

Elephants give: NAT 6

Head Hunters receive: NAT 6

Rationale: Part of Trade #12 in second trade period. Fairly even trade here. Ibbotson scored very well this year and looks to have become a premium, but also has injury concerns which make him somewhat of a risk.

TRADE #38: APPROVED

Kathmandu give: Beau Maister + Lewis Stevenson

Turkey give: NAT 74

Rationale: Part of Trade #13 in second trade period. Pick 74 doesn't mean much, so basically it is Young for Stevenson and Maister. Maister is an in and out player, same with Stevenson, and neither are proven big scorers, yet have potential at their clubs. Young seems to have found a spot in the best 22 so should continue to get games. A bit of risk involved in this trade, but mostly even.

TRADE #39: APPROVED

Lambs give: Trent West + R62
Lambs get: N26 + N38

Crocs give: R7 + R37
Crocs get: West + R6 + R28

Elephants give: N26 + N38 + R6 + R28
Elephants get: R7 + R37 + R62

Rationale: Part of trade #14 in second trade period. Wow, this was a big one to approve and process. I'll give reasoning for what all three teams are receiving.
Lambs - Trent West is a player who will get opportunity at a new club and play close to 22 games, so he is worth those picks with a pick swap involved.
Crocodiles - Tom Hickey is much younger and has more scoring potential than West, so he is probably worth marginally more than West, making the pick swaps fair.
Elephants - They move down the pick order a bit, also giving up one pick, and get Hickey in return, picks work out to be quite even.

TRADE #40: APPROVED

Gazelles give: NAT 17 + NAT 49
Dolphins give: NAT 41

Rationale: Part of trade #16 in second trade period. Stokes on his own is probably worth an early second round pick, the pick swap balances out pick 17. Easy trade to pass here.

TRADE #41: APPROVED

Ales give: David Swallow
Crabs receive: David Swallow

Rationale: Part of trade #17 in second trade period. Steven > JPK and Swallow > Buntine. With Swallow set to get DPP next year as well they are all replaced by players in the same position as well. Steven has just about become the number 1 mid at St Kilda, while Kennedy took a bit of a back step this year. Swallow is a bit further along in his development than Buntine, who still will take a bit of time to develop before he scores well consistently.

TRADE #42: APPROVED

Crabs give: NAT 36 and NAT 67

Gazelles give: NAT 23 and NAT 41

Rationale: Part of trade #18 in second trade period. Both are good young players, with Thomas worth more on what he has shown in the last year of football, while Atley's development seems to have stagnated somewhat.

TRADE #43: APPROVED

Tigers give Picks 47ND, 55ND, 23Rook,
48Rook.
Tigers get 71ND, 25Rook.

Headhunters give 71ND
Headhunters get 55ND

Folders give 25Rook.
Folders get 47ND, 23Rook, 48Rook.

Rationale: Trade over two periods very even.

TRADE #44: APPROVED

Crabs give Rook 19
Eskimos get Rook 19

Rationale: Part of trade #20 in second trade period. Fairly easy trade to approve here. Harper seems to have taken a few backwards steps in the pecking order at North recently, so rookie 19 is now decent compensation for him.

TRADE #45: APPROVED

Tigers give Picks 43ND, 44ND, Rook 25
Tigers get Rook 56, Rook 58, Rook 68

Vipers give Pick Rook 20, Rook 68

Nice work Colli  :D

this one is approved, thanks for the easy one first up :)

rationale listed below the pick in the trade window #1 thread.

0 list movements used by either club.

Toga

#13
Mongolian Lambs give: Jarryd Lyons + Jake Spencer + Pick #46 (ND) + Pick #15 (RD)

Tibetan Llamas give: Thomas J. Lynch (GC) + Pick #2 (RD)

tbagrocks to confirm.

Colliwobblers

IMPORTANT NOTE ON LIST MOVEMENTS

HOW IT WORKS WITH UNEVEN TRADES:

Using the trade above as an example:

Mongolian Lambs give: Jarryd Lyons + Jake Spencer + Nicholas Smith + Pick #15 (RD)

Tibetan Llamas give: Thomas J. Lynch (GC) + Pick #2 (RD)

LIST MOVEMENTS:

Lambs = 3

Llamas = 3

BUT:

The Lambs can still trade IN 2 NEW players from other clubs WITHOUT it counting as a NEW List Movement.

(But if trading out a new player to trade a player in this counts as yet another list movement - however it won't if they trade a pick out for a player in)

AND

The Llamas can still trade OUT 2 NEW players from it's list without it counting as NEW List Movement.

(But if trading in a new player to trade a player out this counts as yet another list movements - however it won't if they trade a player out for a pick in)

CLEAR AS MUD ?
