With the addition of the new head coach, will the Royals be looking at redesigning the look of the club with a new logo/shirt etc?

The London Royals attended the Inaugural Jim Stynes Medal Count last night and an enjoyable night was held by all.

The Royals congratulate the winner Gary Ablett and CF.

A special thank you to Purple 77 for hosting the night.  The night went fantastically and the standard has been set for other ward nights. Well done Purple.

Royals Captain Brent Stanton was among the early leaders but he failed to gain votes in the final rounds. Whether this is coincidence or not this seemed to match the drop off in the Royals Form. The club is pleased that our players scored points in all bar 4 games for the season. This is an encouragement for next season.

The club now formally congratulate the players who scored the following points in the medal.

Brent Stanton 18 points and finishing 4th overall in the count
Jarrad McVeigh 9 points
Dannyle Pearce 5 points
Robert Murphy 4 points
Matthew Broadbent 3 points
Brent Reilly 2 points
Chris Mayne 2 points
Luke Breust  2 points
Michael Hurley 2 points
Tom Bellchambers 1 point.

Again congratulations to all on a very successful night.

Good job to all the Royals players for polling so well, especially to Stanton who did a great job to finish 4th!

Press Release by London Royals

Following a season marred by controversy the London Royals are moving forward towards 2013.

The Club is pleased to announce that they have reached agreement to lease the London Olympic Stadium for their home games in 2013.  As Part of the arrangement the field interior will be extended to meet requirements for AFL and have similar dimensions to the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This will reduce the capacity of the ground to 60,000 and allow for the game to be promoted in London.  Great to achieve this agreement so soon after the Olympics.

The club will be developing state of the art facilities under the grandstands including large warm up areas.  The club looks forward to making the Olympic Stadium a fortress for home matches.

To coincide with the move we will be looking at redesigning our playing strips and invite fans to submit suggestions via this thread.  The one stipulation is that for our home strip we must retain the Royal Blue colour. So now is your opportunity to have a say in our design,

In other exiting news and in keeping with the Royals theme we are pleased to announce that Prince Harry has agreed to accept th position as Patron of the London Royals Australian Football Club.  He states that despite his love of Rugby he has a soft spot for the mans game of Aussie Rules.  We welcome his patronage and have issued him with our Number 1 ticket.  He has indicated he will be attending as many games as he is able to learn more about the game.

As we move forward towards next year the club is sorry to announce that there will be delistings and transfers of players. The coaching staff are involved in trade negotiations as we speak and whilst the decisions on some players may appear harsh it is essential to ensure that the club returns to the top 8. As the trade period progresses we will keep you informed of developments.

We welcome new fans in these exiting times so feel free to sign up to our supporters club and support our climb into the top 8.

Interesting you managed to get that agreement for the stadium considering West Ham gained the license for the stadium over a year ago. Bit harsh kicking out an EPL team for your own selfish use :P

Ringo

West Ham still not confirmed CF one of 4 applications to be finalised by October. West Ham were unable to complete the arrangements to run the Stadium and are now in the running to be main tennant.
