Solid week. Warner is a bargain if he's back, if. Sinclair and Merrett have ridiculously high break evens so might be worth having an eye on the next two rounds to grab one.

Ryan must be killing you... but I've traded out three or four mid price/premiums and every single time they have gone huge the week after. Horne, Callaghan, Soligo, Humphry....

Finn levi and Sam and Sam are all about ripe. I'd be inclined to downgrade one and upgrade one to a genuine premium and still have cash in the bank to do the same again next week. If Warner is genuine that's a lot of cash in the bank for next week.

Nice week - I may consider Warner as well but Swans have some biggies to bring back in,

Quote from: Ringo on April 28, 2025, 09:26:16 AMNice week - I may consider Warner as well but Swans have some biggies to bring back in,

Here's why I'm cold on Warner, despite averaging 103 last year, his ability to convert scores into hundreds has been lacking, his last 13 games in 2024 (from round 14 onwards) yielded only two hundreds, 114 & 116, the rest were in the 70-99 bracket apart from an outlier 38 against the Bulldogs. He's definitely playing more midfield the past 2 games but there are no guarantees he will stay there. I suppose most of the forwards are timesharing to some degree but I don't expect Warner to be more effective than say Parker who also seems to be mired in the 70-99 bracket.

Mat0369

So with teams trickling out and so many names dropping as late outs, I locked in Tsatas which I instantly regret. I will hold Oliver and I'm looking like I should be able to field a full squad this week

Mat0369

If anyone gets a minute, can they have a look at my RDT side. I'm tossing up a couple of trades this week to try and make up ground.

Good: Sheezel, Ryan, Neale, Trac, W. Ashcroft, L. Ashcroft, Warner, Xerri, Macrae, Smith, Dudley
Pass: Zorko, O'Sullivan, Holmes, JHF, Daniel
Bad: Roberts, Lindsay, TDK, SPP, Cleary
Ugly: Bowey, Bice, Carroll, Tsatas, Davidson, Flynn

A pretty crap week overall with a nice panic trade of bringing in Tsatas. Without being able to see the teams and knowing which players would be named, I threw Tsatas in once I knew he wasn't sub. He is likely to be dropped this week to make matters worse.

Some trades I am tossing up this week

Davidson > Hustwaite
Bice > Merrett
Flynn > Cripps

Hustwaite seems like a goer as a rookie, Merrett looks to have bottomed out and so has Cripps (who has also started to hit form). I am also considering LDU instead of Cripps, although he may be an option next week if I can make the funds work. I am a little undecided, but I feel Flynn is on the verge of being dropped again and the others may be ripe to trade out this week

Colliwobblers

Tick tick on the first two trades. Cripps a solid choice at the price. I was looking at LDU also given the move back with Sheezel wondering if that opened the door for him to start going big. Last year he did the same real slow start then went on a rampage.

Mat0369

I forgot to do my teams and have to go to work, I'll update tonight when I get home. I think I am in a tough spot but I have some options

Really bad week compounded by an awful captain choice (tossed up Neale and Xerri, went Neale). My team looks like a bit of a disaster right now and I'm trying to work out a way to salvage it. The lack of rookies is the hardest thing to manage right now. I also have a handful of guys in the not good enough category that seem to have hit the skids. Oliver is now a tagger and looks like a bad hold on my end.

Trades this week I was looking at O'Sullivan to El-Hawli and SPP to Steele. I still have a bit of cash left and could have turned Flynn into someone like Sicily, but I thought hold Flynn in case TDK is out. I could use my boost to turn Tsatas into someone like Boxshall if named, or Boyd into the Richmond rookie to open up the DPP and get me some TDK coverage this week. Cleary would survive for the week but it's a bit of a wait and see.

arbel

Yeah I'm in same boat rookies aren't going to crash hot at the moment. TDK is out as well so have to make a choice there what to do. Likely a one week injury but still hard to cover

Ringo

Think wait and see is the common theme this week.  See what later today brings.

Another disaster week compounded by the two major injuries to JHF and Macrae. El-Hawli was a monster flop rookie to bring in. He scored well for the half he actually played before he was subbed at HT. I should have known better but oh well. I think I might hold the two injured guys in Macrae and JHF to just try and win my league finals, although I think JHF is the trade of the two with the Macrae score not tanking his price. Simpson is an in, just need to work out what to do with the rest of my trades

Bully

Simpson is definitely the pick of the rookies, I'm severing Hustwaite, I think he's played his annual 2-3 games.

Ringo

Tsatas to Simpson for cash gain via one of JHF or Macrae. Then if you decide JHF to a prem mid

or a more risky trade
Cleary to Simpson
Tsatas to Bolton.
Move Lashcroft to forwards vis JHF or Macrae with Gross still at M9 and Simpson/Dudley at F8 allowing you to keep both JHF and Macrae
