All hail to the clear minor premiership winners, who have posted the season-high score on the eve of finals! That's the kind of intimidating form that gets the metal edge in finals. They'll need it though - no minor premiers EVER in Worlds has gone on to win the flag.

The Destroyers will be very encouraged with their late season form though, and will be entirely confident of putting a season from hell behind them and challenging next year. In the mean time, I'll enjoy a finals series without Dublin. See you next year!

Tigers claw into a QF

Oh boy, this was closer than you'd like. New Delhi had to rely on HGA to get over the line, and that was with Pacific playing 1 man short! But, the body of work has already been done for the Tigers, and deserve to be in the top 4 going into August.

For the Islanders, they finish in the dreaded 9th position. The pre-season injury of Tom Mitchell has proven telling, and ultimately the difference between making finals and not. They'll be back bigger and better next year. Farewell Pacific!

Ah, the dreaded Nollsy. The Thunder rallied on Sunday, but couldn't peg back the Magpies who were well served by McEvoy and TJ Lynch. A marvelous Idol campaign, matched by their H&A season and will host a home QF next week.
