As sure as Shannon Noll's injustice fuels his current degenerative state, everybody's favourite knockout competition is back!

ossie85: Alright people. Let’s start at the beginning one last time.

A simple game...

The lowest scoring team is eliminated each week, until we have a winner!

You can get immunity from elimination if you had the highest score the week before (up until round 10) - in which case the 2nd lowest scoring team is eliminated.

So, who has what it takes to be World Idol?

Eliminated Teams
R1: Christchurch (1021)
R2: Buenos Aires (1237)
R3: Mexico City (1164)
R4: Dublin (1068)
R5: Cape Town (1193)
R6: London (1077)
R7: New York (1122)
R8: PNL (1250)
R9: Moscow (1227)
R10: Berlin (1285)
R11: Tokyo (1201)
R12: Cairo (1209)
R13: New Delhi (1215)
R14: Rio de Janeiro (1167)
R15: Pacific (1281)
R16: Toronto (1479)
R17: Beijing (1441)
Winner: Seoul

You can't take over Idol from me and then diss my boy Nollsy like that. The disrespect is disgusting.

Whilst still fresh in my memory, I will re-use a good ol Simpson quote that jumped in my memory to describe our first eliminated team from World Idol...

With a score of 1021, we say hello, and goodbye to Christchurch.

Purple 77

I will officially use simpson quotes to describe all eliminations this year, come to think of it.

Well! This is one of those rare teams that immunity has saved a club from elimination  :o

Scoring 1175, Dublin would normally be eliminated. But, having top scored last week, will live to spud another day.

This means we say farewell to Buenos Aires, with a pretty reasonable elimination score this early in the year of 1237.

The true fans will get this caption-less one, which I feel captures how Buenos Aires lost with a higher score.

You can keep the shoes!

Hahahaha, what a reference!

This week, we tip our hat to Mexico City (1164). But it's not all bad, as Sam Walsh announced himself in the same week. It's almost like Mexico City don't need to be careful, coz...

Ah, how the mighty have... injured.

Dublin had to call upon debutant Lachie Schultz to take the lead at one point, where things went astray quickly...
