as too would have been breakers with players coming back.   ;)

Looking back at things, I'm seriously disturbed I traded Whitfield for Tom Bell, albeit I thought he would be banned for 3+ years for his drugs crap considering what the bombers got.

If there is anything people want to discuss, whether it be the trade/draft period, or potential rule changes, or anything like that, feel free to let us know :)

I reckon first rounder compo should be after 2 years of being <4 wins and end of first rounder compo for 1 year. This is like most other comps and i think it works a bit better. Interested to see what others think?

So just to clarify what you are suggesting.

To qualify for a first rounder priority pick do you have to win less than 4 games over 2 years or have won less than 4 games for 2 consecutive years.
eg Team A wins 2 games 1in 2016 and 3 games in 2017 do they get a priority pick?

If enough discussion and agreement will have to put to vote sooner rather than later if it is desired to take effect from this season.

Consecutive years

Fwiw i agree, but from a selfish standpoint have already got a deal sorted that kinda relies on me having the priority pick so would prefer it comes in for next season haha

OK so if we were to apply this Rule and correct me if I am interpreting intent incorrectly:
Giants will get a priority pick having won only 3 games in 2016 and 3 in 2017
Hoods will also get a priority pick having won 4 games in 2016 and 2 games in 2017
Badgers, Rams and Breakers will receive additional pick at end of Round 1
So
Pick 1 Giants
Pick 2 Hoods
Pick 3 Hoods
Pick 4 Badgers
Pick 5 Rams
Pick 6 Giants
Pick 7 Breakers
Pick 8 Hedgehogs
Pick 9 Hawks
Pick 10 Knights
Picks 11 - 18 to be sorted with finals
Pick 19 Badgers
Pick 20 Rams
Pick 21 Breakers

then normal order

Just to ensure I have got the intent correct.

GoLions

Hoods won 5 games in 2016

Giants won 4 games in 2016

So if less than 4 games for a priority, then neither would receive a start of first round

Cant just give a team pick 1 for finishing 13th on the ladder.

Also, why would we even be changing rules for the current season? We aren't the AFL.

Rule is 4 games or less so Giants will Have pick1 and Hoods picks 2 and 18.
Agree with Hoods winning 5 looked at wrong weeks ladder and both Hoods and Giants won final games of Home and away.

Do not mind the proposed rule FWIW.

Nige

Any rule change should come into effect next year, not for a draft in a few months time.
