So with the T20 World Cup just around the corner, I thought it would be cool to see who FanFootys squad of choice is. With the Australian selectors on ice, I think we will probably name a better squad than they will  :-X.

How it Works
So every few days a poll will be put up the top with names of players and positions (as you can see, it's currently All Rounders). Each position will be voted on (polls running for 3 days each) and so many players will be chosen depending on position to make up the 15 man squad. 4 specialist batsmen will be chosen, 3 Seam Bowlers will be chosen, 2 Spin Bowler will be chosen, 1 'keeper will be chosen and 2 All Rounders will be chosen. That makes a squad of 12. From there 3 'wild card' players will be picked from a poll that includes the 5th and 6th most voted batsman, the 4th and 5th most voted bowlers, the 3rd most voted spinner, the 3rd most voted all rounder and the 2nd most voted 'keeper.

All Rounders (2)
Shane Watson

#5
So the first results are in...

Shane Watson (RHB/RFM)   - 6 (24%)
Glenn Maxwell (RHB/RFS)   - 11 (44%)
Mitchell Marsh (RHB/RF)   - 1 (4%)
James Faulkner (RHB/RMF)   - 4 (16%)
Marcus Stoinis (RHB/RM)   - 2 (8%)
Dan Christian (RHB/RMF)   - 1 (4%)

Meaning that Watto and Maxi are on the plane to India, but we say goodbye to Mitch Marsh, Marcus Stoinis and Dan Christian. James Faulkner though is the first wild card.

Will now put spinners up, so you have until Friday to vote.

Got a feeling this section might be straightforward :)

Nathan Lyon   - 6 (33.3%)
Cameron Boyce   - 5 (27.8%)
Adam Zampa   - 4 (22.2%)
Steve O'Keefe   - 1 (5.6%)
Brad Hogg   - 2 (11.1%)
Xavier Doherty   - 0 (0%)

So Nathan Lyon and Cam Boyce into the squad, while Zampa will go in as a wild card.

Will put the Batsmen up now.

Hey nrich, the poll will only allow me to select 3 options, whereas the OP suggests I should be picking 4

AUSTRALIA'S WORLD T20 SQUAD: Steve Smith (c), David Warner (vc), Ashton Agar, Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, John Hastings, Josh Hazlewood, Usman Khawaja, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Peter Nevill, Andrew Tye, Shane Watson, Adam Zampa

The selections of Neville replacing Wade and Agar a real surprise.  Also the dropping of Lynn and Head although they did not fire against India although had limited opportunities raises eyebrows.

Batting depth looks challenged in this squad although with the number of all rounders we will bat deep but would hate to see them coming in 2/20 odd.

We must have the most unsettled T-20 squad in the world and our one day team is no better it is like a revolving door I give them almost zero chance of performing well  :(
