Short burnt me last year. He had the huge opening round which help cement him in my side (planned on starting him before the monster round 0) but he flopped and I needed to trade him out pretty quickly. I'd look at turning him into Stewart next week if you feel you need to hold. Stewart should have one more price dip and then be gettable for you.

Callaghan is another that has been disappointing and somehow managed to lose cash. I think you have the cash to turn him into Merrett in one move. That would be pretty tempting, otherwise if you prefer someone like Whitfield for a defender or Brayshaw who you were high on through pre-season they are also possible moves.

Well this just got a bit harder. O'Driscoll 4-6 weeks is not great. But have other issues as well. Knevitt, Lindsay and O'sullivan all seem to be available just hope they get picked. Rankine injury worry, but sounds like it'll only be a one week so he stays if that's the case. Swans have players coming back and sounds like Hamling is vunerable, he hasn't done much but hope he stays and gets another couple price rises. Day injury now becomes a no brainer to trade.

All this before I get onto my worry/underperformers in SDK and Short. They may hold there spots this week.

As long as the other 3 are back in it'll be O'Driscoll to Tsatas and Day to Merrett

arbel

Well those team lists were not as expected. Thank god all my fringe rookies ... O'Sullivan, Lindsay and Knevitt ... are all back in. With no Tsatas though not sure who to go on O'Driscoll. It'll be one of Hall, Davis or Gross as the vest candidate I think and Hall most money to make. No other MID is in the money making line.

Lalor is left field, it says injured but I may hold him for loop. Stone on the extended bench hopefully holds.

Was thinking this:

Day to Dawson
De Koning (sam) to Whitfield
O'driscoll to Hall (if he dodges vest)

leaves me with 66k still in the bank. I only think dekoning as with Blicavs back he'll get less ruck time. Is at his breakeven so rather get the points now with Whitfield

SDK may score well down back with Stewart out, but regardless of that, those are great trades and you'd be moving SDK on eventually why not grab the much larger Whitfield score now.

Don't know what's up with Lalor but I'd hold for now for sure.

Ringo

Here is what I found for Lalor.  I have him as well and because Tigers play late a perfect loop hole know.

"Sam Lalor (hip) will also miss the trip to the Barossa after pulling up sore from Saturdays game"

So basically a management decision me thinks.

I must be cursed ... did those trades but Dawson put up a stinker ... went at 38% disposal efficiency ... sigh

So frustrating! Soligo for me this week.

supposed to be a best captain option, I stupidly captain Holmes against Melbourne, then stupidly don't captain him against Adelaide.

think I might start next season by hitting "randomly fill my team" :))

Dawson should be a good long term pick however.

I think they were the right trades, that is just unlucky with Dawson who has been on a nice run. He did have some disposal issues last year which is odd for someone that's such a great kick.

Somehow my year went from worse to apocalyptic. Scored less than last week with best 18. Brought in 'premos' Whitfield and Dawson and they had their worst games!!! Seems no matter what/who I pick it just goes sideways. Reid on the bench too ... I am so sick of taggers as well... every game is screwing me with taggers. Just can't catch a break.

Think not much to do this week. Might go Davidson to maybe a Cleary, Lindsay to Gross. Can't think much else. All my DEF rooks are doing okay and Brock only real one back there that looks viable. Those 2 trades leave me with 324k cash. Could also do Sanders out and swing Ashcroft FWD and grab Daicos maybe, leaving 109k?

Just do what I need too to win league now, clearly not in overall

Colliwobblers

I don't know Arbel, you still got a really good shot at not getting the Fan Footy wooden spoon for overall with me in the race.

I'd get Nick. If he can shake Jordan off the way he did Friday night I can't see him not exploding from here. Might be ok to wait a week see who is worse out of Callaghan and Roberts and Sanders.

I didn't want to get rid of Callaghan but had to so I wouldn't miss out on Nicks 60 next week.... sigh

feel your pain.

Mat0369

Getting Daicos in seems like a good option, I'd do the third trade to make that happen. Sanders did look pretty good in that Brisbane game though, but I feel Bont isn't too far away and now might be a good time to make that trade.

Finally a good week happy with that score and that was with a 28, 30, 30 and 38 on this pitch. Mainly cos I ended up getting Daicos and was able to loop him. Unfortunately to get him I had to trade out Sanders and Davidson and they both did awesome, but happy to have Daicos. On the flip as well I did have Gross in but as soon as he was sub I took him out and brought in Hewett and that paid off so not too bad.

Not much to do this week for once. Trainor being sub and having that 2 in his cycle means he'll come out and become likely Carroll if he plays. O'Sullivan (Geelong) also looks to be near max so he goes out and in will come either Holmes, Dale, maybe Clark. Don't know what's happened to Ryan but he's off the mark.

I want Butters but he will have to be in the future. I'll have to stick with Short for now. Only other worries are Hamling and Cleary (who I just brought in) hopefully they hold position but no on really jumping out to take their place so will just hold unless carrying donuts

Bully

That's an excellent score, I tumbled 5000 spots so you have definitely made some valuable ground. BE's for Trainor, Reid & O'Sullivan probably puts them in the frame to be traded, the problem is there's nothing worth picking up apart from Carroll. I guess Gross could be considered if he's named on field.

Reid BE is at 14 so that one is okay. Agree on the other two though. Yeah I want Gross but don't trust he won't be vested again. Also has to carry that low score for next 2 price cycles. I guess wait for teams. I'm going away for 2 weeks as well soon so need to get my team in good spot as checking on time might be tough

Great round. Good move holding Callaghan. Holmes was on 74 at half time, bit frustrating, but when he isn't being tagged he's capable of going big. Excellent move dodging Gross and getting Hewett, this is what we were promised all preseason from him.
