Sam Darcy has been labelled the Unicorn as a paragon of a prototype player, capable of playing any role suited to a tall including ruck. He is rookie-priced this season, making him a worthwhile trade-in target as he approaches his bubble. He is unlikely to suddenly turn into Luke Jackson at this still-early part of his development, but that's the promise of his ceiling in the long term. At the moment he is a useful spare parts player for Luke Beveridge, a fix-it man who can cover multiple roles without needing to get much ball himself. His fantasy value is limited.
