Oliver Dempsey is very possibly heading for a victory in the hotly-contested 2024 Rising Star award, an unlikely prospect at the start of the season albeit assisted by suspension to some favoured rivals. Geelong's playstyle suits his game as it makes full use of wingmen on offence, and he gets involved in a lot of downhill scoring chains as the Cats slingshot from defence at full pace. His defensive work is not as needed as the Cats structure ensures they have more than enough numbers behind the ball, making him one of the better fantasy cash cows of the season.
