Mitch Owens posted two of his better stat lines of the season in the last two weeks in comfortable wins over the Eagles and Dons, and this has become a bit of a pattern for him in his third season. Playing a ruck/forward role with a body too small to do much more than be present in ruck contests is not much fun, but he hasn't managed to unlock the Mark Blicavs blueprint for contributing in the packs with possessions quite yet. Owens is going to be something, but whatever mould it is Ross Lyon is working him into, the shape isn't easily discernible just yet.
