Jai Serong is arguably the greatest off-season move of 2025, having been discarded by Hawthorn who preferred established older players to populate their defensive spine, and finding a fresh new start at Sydney as a wingman. The Hawks never tried him there, and he has been a revelation in the modern mould of the tall winger who can compete in the air as well as maintain his workrate with running off the ball. For fantasy purposes, wingers who don't have specialist stoppage skills can be hit-or-miss depending on the flow of the game, but Serong has been a handy surprise starter.
