Rory Lobb has just passed the 150th game milestone at his third club, and has found his best spot at full back for the Bulldogs. He replaced Liam Jones in that role, and hasn't had a settled CHB in front of him for years now though Buku Khamis is putting his hand up early this campaign. The fact that the Bulldogs play on the fast track of Docklands so often means their tall players need to be able to run up and back more than the average, and Lobb is capable of that. He is not a fantasy accumulator as the Dogs don't tend to play slow from defence.

Second service for Lobb
Productive as both a key forward and ruckman, Rory Lobb enjoyed a career-best season in his debut campaign for the purple haze. The former Giant collected career highs in contested possessions, disposals and hit out figures, including 18 touches and 45 hit outs against the Tigers in round 8. Lobb has spoken early in the preseason about his desire to be fielded primarily as a forward, a desire which prompted his decision to return to his home state. Fantasy wise, Lobb's best returns have come when playing the number one ruck role. Pounce if Sean Darcy is felled.
Lobb lands out west
Recruited in the off season from GWS, Rory Lobb will bolster a historically undermanned attack of Fremantle. Injuries at the Giants meant Lobb spent more time in ruck last season, but this made no noticeable difference to his fantasy scoring. He has shown the ability to draw targets up forward, even if only to bring the ball to ground. Lobb should slot straight into the Dockers' forward six. Since it doesn’t make sense to play two ruckman when one of them is the man-behemoth Aaron Sandilands, he looms as a likely pinch-hitter at stoppages. He is serviceable as bench cover at best, so don’t use anything other than a late pick.
