Oh, idek. Last I heard/checked they only announced the changes to the squad.  :-[

Edit: Oh yeah, my bad.

Marsh -> Clarke, Hazlewood (who was 12th man last test) -> Harris and Starc -> Siddle.

Confused myself.

3 changes and we don't drop the most useless player of all.  ::)

Don't start bagging him to early BP we will need you doing that when we bowl , it worked a treat on day 5 in Adelaide  :P

I really like the big Faulk but with Mitch Marsh now cemented, how can he get a game? :-\  Unless you drop Siddle and bat Faulkner #8? The big lug is suck a competitor, I really want him to get a go at Test level soon!

I recon he's the next Watto! But tries a bit harder than Watto :P

Not unhappy about the Smith call but Id like to see him do something, put himself in at No #3 now! He is the future with Marsh now and MUST BAT 3, don't care what anyone says

2 all rounders is working now, so why cant we have 2 when Watson retires?

Faulkner took 6 for in England didn't he?

On that, it sounds like Smithy's first decision is whether to move himself up to #4 for the test.. I hope he does it!

Pretty sure it was confirmed he would.

I think it's the right move!

I'd prefer Faulks over Watson to be honest

3. S.Marsh
4. Smith
5. M.Marsh
6. Faulkner

not the strongest looking batting line up though

Just said something similar to this to Dave earlier today.

I think we don't need Watto anymore and could replace him with somebody else like Faulks.

Can the elder Marsh brother be the replacement for Rogers now that the poor Mr "63" has left us? :-\  Im not sure who else can Open unless Khawaja does it!

Warner
S Marsh
Smith
Mitch
Clarke/Doolan/Khawaja/Furgeson/Bailey/Watto ect
Faulkner

With Warner there the batting looks much stronger :D

Yep sorry to say but i agree Watson needs to go. He's there by Reputation at the minute.
Been a big fan of Watson over the journey most of us would of been but i think the time has come.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Watson first came into the team as an all-rounder batting at 6, like Marsh.

Steve Smith - albeit a spinner - was an all-rounder first but is now only a pinch-hit bowler as well.

So could Marsh move up the order in a few years time, and maybe become like a Jacques Kallis or a more bonafide batsman? Obviously he needs more experience and a few really strong 100s before that, but he's still young so it's definitely a long-term possibility.

Really like Jimmy Faulkner. I'd like to see Faulkner and Marsh in the same team in a couple of years, but not just yet. Marsh needs to get some runs under his belt but the early signs are very good - that 2nd innings dig in Adelaide was scintillating.
