Looks like Pup has been ruled out for the series.

I reckon we should look to the future and give Smith the captaincy for the series against India while he has experienced players around him rather than go to the aging Haddin who would be the obvious choice.

After all Ian Craig, who passed away yesterday, captained Australia at 22.

Pup ruled out of the test series or just the odis?

There is still conjecture whether Clarke is out of tests or not with Marsh saying he should be right but physios Pat Howard saying he will miss tests so we wait and see.

On another note Australia's squad for the next 3 one dayers:

http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia-v-south-africa-2014-15/content/story/800117.html

Australia squad George Bailey (capt), Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Xavier Doherty, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Kane Richardson, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade (wk), David Warner, Shane Watson

Johnson being rested as mooted with Both Cummins and Starc being added

Nathan Lyon failed to take a wicket in Qld's first innings at the Gabba and O'Keeffe took 2. Lyon is hopelessly out of form and should not even be considered for the first test.

PowerBug

Lyon should be picked, bloke has done absolutely nothing wrong whilst in the test team.
Leader of the King Karl Amon fan club
Coach of WXV side Rio De Janeiro Jaguars

Reckon he did PB against Pakistan he should have been able to get amongst them on those wickets but did not.

More about what he hasn't done than what he has.
