Rogers is a Victorian as well...

what other openers(besides Cowan) could walk straight into the test side?

Cmon jobe I say Finch ?

he would need to transform himself like Warner!

There are no other openers who could currently walk straight into the test side, including Finch.

Agreed.

Siddle is the one that needs to go though. Simply because he's under-performing and there's plenty of good young quicks to come in.

Saying drop Rogers and Watson is all well and good but there's seriously no one banging on the door demanding a test spot. Big difference to the old days, had guys like Hussey, Lehman etc consistently making huge first class scores and forcing their way into the test team. All comes back to Hughesy, he was the only one that fit this criteria.

Just not much batting depth in Australia.

He has no technique, bowl 5 out swingers in a row and he will nick one.

Rubbish no batting depth as for Finch everyone said the same thing about Warner when they put him in now they are all kissing his butt as for Rodgers he is an old man with no form and Watson he will stay in the team but he needs finish his career with a bang starting from next week but like I've said the Gabba pitch will sort that out

thus he needs to fix his game!

I reiterate Cowan would be the only one to walk straight into that team

The best thing that could happen would be that Finch was put in with Warner , at least with Finch he will only take a few minutes to get what Rodgers would take an hour and if he gets past that early phase him and Warner is something you could only dream about  :P
I would take Rogers over Finch every single day of the week

Cmon GL his days are numbered is it because Finch is from down here ha ha like I said there is not much difference between Finch and a early Warner live the dream the best opening pair in the world  :P
??? I'm Victorian mate

I'm a massive Rogers fan, and I don't see anyone that would perform better than Rogers right at this moment. With his days being numbered, I'd be trying to get as much out of him as possible, and then blooding a youngster when he retires (which I assume will be at latest next year). And unless Finch can prove himself good enough to open in a test match, which will take a flowertonne of improvement, I wouldn't want him in the side.

You don't fix it in the test team.. Prove he can make consistent high scores in first class and then he should be considered.

jobe#4

even less likely as he batted at 6 for Victoria against W.A.

Ha ha forgot mate should have clicked after state of origin in Elxam but Rodgers days are up not hoping but think we will see that at the Gabba he could not even handle the batting pitch this week , do you want to be blooding a newbie now or in the Ashes ?
