I am happy to call Beams a keeper because he is now over $550K I think.

Score determines price so how can that be right?
Dom Tyson before this week was averaging 100 and only $300k so he is a keeper at the moment

tor01doc

If he is a mid and over $550K then a keeper.

So no.

agree to some respect but you have 6 trades left with 3 weeks to go you are going to trade out anyone to get the better score

Only a players 3RM affects their price. You can have a player that goes through a hot vein of form and has a great 3RM, thus inflating their price. A player can then become over-vlaued or over-priced when compared to their season average which may be significantly less than their 3RM.

D Swallow 3 round ave 112 = $498900
J Watson   3 round ave 105 = $585300

Please explain.

25% percent of the price calculation is weighted on each price change based on their 3RM.

Players prices fluctuate. I base a players value on how many points they score for my team. The only price that is relevant is the price I pay for them.

tor01doc

When Ross Lyon and Al Clarkson start meeting with 'The General' I will be ready.

Great in theory but I am yet to achieve it - 6 trades going into finals that is.

A more restrained start this year might help.

I like this discussion and your point.

Despite averaging 100, he is 300k because he has not scored 100 often enough and not proven himself.

For someone to reach 500k, that would take good scores for a long period of time.

Which just further justifies their 'keeper' status.

So I agree with Doc here. Price is important in deciding whether a player is a keeper but I think R4 is too early to put a number on the amount of keepers you have.

tor01doc

Welcome vinny
Is Judd a keeper?

Good win by your lot. Like Murphy - not so happy with Libber.

Agree too early to count your chicken(keeper)s but thought it interesting to ponder what a keeper is.

Vinny

Haha thanks.

He was for most his career but no not this year.

Will not be a top 15 midfielder.

Yeah I am happy with it except for Juddy. :(

Stick with Libba mate. Unless you are in overall race!

Yeah for sure.

Capper

So what you count Titch or Parker as keepers??

Yes Parker. Question marks over Titch. I was not backing him in at the start of the year being a second year player and all.

But yes quite possibly.

tor01doc

Parker as a forward yes.

T Mitchell - my jury is out - like him. What's he worth and what is his BE?

$424000
With a high BE - NOT a keeper.

Agree?

We always count our 'keepers'.

What is a keeper?

I reckon $444000 is close.

Sandi has just made it to keeper status.

Pav - wasn't but now is.

Obviously depends upon position but forwards, backs and maybe rucks can pass with a lower value.

Mids - maybe over $550000 - 18 over that before this round.

So using 440 and 550 how many keepers do you have now?

The answer will not betray all info as a team with 8 mid keepers and 6 others will be stronger than a team with 1 mid keeper and 13 others.

My team - 14 keepers (28 trades left).
How the flower do u still have 28 trades left?

Tight as a Nun's...

Hanley, Fuller, Hickey, Libber, Ellis, Crouch from the start, Murphy, a lot of the popular rookies who are still making money BUT

No Swallow, Fasolo, Jaensch, MacRae, Tyson.

Main aim is a money league - need a full head of steam and SIX trades going into finals after goal number one (make the finals) is achieved.
What is your current overall rank?

An uninspiring yet satisfactory 4722.

More importantly 2 - 0 in my main league and if Mitchell plays 3 - 0 very likely and 28 trades but if he is a late out then I will have to get either Suckling, Enright, Burgoyne or Bartel for Mitchell to win. Suckling my pick because of low BE, potential keeper for my opponent has him.
your midfield  premos are impressive Ablett, Pendlebury, Rockliff, Libba, beams, murphy

For me, it is just whether they would average enough to be top tier in their position.

So..

Keeper:
Top 12 back.
Top 15 midfielder.
Top 5 ruck.
Top 12 forward.

I am not sure Tom Mitchell can beat:
Parker
NRoo
Boomer
Danger
Dusty
Roughy
Gunston
Gray
Pavlich
Zorko

But that is because I do not think in his second year he can consistently score well.

In saying that, rumour is he is playing injured and he can pump out nice numbers. Wait and see what he scores when fit.

Also depends if your aim is overall or league.
