Inside word on Heath Scotland?

I drafted Heath Scotland in my ultimate footy side and there's basically no information anywhere as to why he's not playing. Wins best and fairest a couple years ago. Gets dropped so they can resign him as a rookie but surely he's still part of the best 22. Does anyone have any confirmed information?
