After an easy start to the season, and 5 losses in a row, most had written off Port. But they have knocked off two of last years top 4 in consecutive weeks, and will be up and about! The dark cloud hanging over Essendon's head hasn't impacted on form, and should go in favourites, but will a tough visit to Perth tire them out?

Notable players:

Jobe Watson, Kane Cornes, Travis Boak, Brendon Goddard, Justin Westhoff, Brent Stanton, Brad Ebert, Michael Hibberd, Dyson Heppell, Chad Wingard, Hamish Hartlett, Joe Daniher, Robbie Gray

its me lads

If Port win I'll change my picture to Warren Tredrae  for a whole week  ;D

Dons will get up and Port will play another shocker.

I'm tipping Essendon by 9 and Carlisle will save us once again.

Heppell, Goddard, Hartlett in this one

300 minimum please, :P

Ringo

No late changes for #AFLBombersPower. Travis Colyer is Essendon's sub. Paul Stewart gets the green vest for Port Adelaide.

Got Watson and Goddard !

210 Please ? :)

getting on a train to Southern Cross as we speak - go bombers!

-Goddard, Heppell, Hartlett & Watson for me; would be happy with 380 8), but more importantly, an Essendon victory! ;)

Ringo

Goddard, Stanton, Hartlett and Gray for me.  Happy with 320 from them to take me over 2500 for only the second time this season.

surely SC? :o

PowerBug

Bombers by a couple of goals i reckon :(

Mind games will be played up forward. Essendon will want to play Carlisle up forward with Hurley, but doing so would leave them massivley undersized in defence as Port will swing Trengove forward with Schulz and Westhoff. Essendon though will try to play the resting ruck forward aswell for as long as possible, hoping to cause a mismatch with inexperienced Hombsch or Jonas. Port may even make the sub early, and throw Stewart forward to try and get another tall up there.

Midfield matchups? Cornes to Watson i'm thinking, Broadbent to Stanton. Wingard vs Heppell would be a great battle aswell.

Essendon will destroy in the ruck though, thus why i've tipped the Bombers.

I have a feeling Stants will go huge today...

specky92

Port ranked 4th in tackles per game

Essendon ranked 3rd in least opponent tackles per game

:o

I think Ryder will have a day out

PowerBug

Might be a chance for Belly to win some ball aswell, hasn't been brilliant lately.

Belly is a huge confidence man,

confidence low = spud

confidence high = gun & apparently the chirpiest lad at Essendon, ;)
