A vacant coaching position has opened up in the British xv's competitions.

BB67th is relinquishing the coaching position of Leeds Leeches due to the pressure of running a number of teams in competitions and the desire to let new coaches come into XV competitions.

BB67th is willing to stay on as assistant coach and mentoring role should the successful coach require it.

Leeds Leeches currently sit 13th on the ladder with 4 wins and 7 losses. Team has been effected by injuries.

All coaches are encouraged to apply including those without a team in the XV competitions.

You can apply in this thread stating what you consider the best team is, what you would do to strengthen the team and future goals.

Hmm gets a Tx team and now gives up this team. Will you give up your Tx team BB cause I know Sid wants committed coaches over a long period.

Will the Folders be available as well? Curious why the British side was dropped?

BB67th

Whatlez, the reason for me giving this team up is not so much that I cannot handle having the team (I have plenty of fantasy teams, and am always happy for more), but I rather thought that with all the conversation about people having too many teams, maybe somebody else would like a turn.

Before when applying for Worlds jobs that if I get one I would hand a team over to someone else, and I feel I should do the same having a TX side.

So really I would like to see someone relatively new to the XV scene come on as head coach here, and that is why I have offered to serve as an assistant coach to mentor a new coach.

So I am definitely committed to all my fantasy teams at the moment.

Why get rid of the British team, but not the Asian team? Any specific reasoning?

BB67th

Well I was going to get rid of one team, and I guess I kept the Folders because we are a genuine premiership chance this year, and are traveling better as a team right now. And I don't see anything wrong with that.

Justin Bieber

Will you quit TX like you quit British if another competition comes along? That's what it sounds like.

Capper

So you are giving up a team as you have too many teams, but then you are getting another team. How does that work??

Put my application in earlier today, really hope there is a position available, I like the rule changes in this comp a lot :)

No logic.

BB67th

Ok guys, here is what I have done.

I have been a British and Asian coach since the competitions started, however I have made it clear that I have always been after a position in Worlds as it contains the SC scoring system, which is my favourite game.

I have applied several times for a Worlds job, but others have taken the job instead, so when TX came around, with the SC scoring, I thought it was a great chance to get involved in a similar competition, that would be just as good.

Then with all the talk about people having too many teams now, I thought that having 3 teams might be a bit greedy, and that maybe there would be someone else, probably a coach relatively new to XVs, that would rather have a team instead. So I decided if there was one team I would give up, it would be the Leeches.

I asked Ringo if there was anyone waiting for a team, if there was a list or anything, he said there was not, so we decided to advertise the position to see if there was any potential coaches wanting a team. I clearly said that I would stay on as a senior assistant and mentor a new coach into how BXV runs.

The opening post is probably worded badly, I am not giving up the team because it is too much pressure on me having them all, I am giving it up so someone else can take a coaching position.

So if anyone has a problem with this, I can remain coach of the Leeches if you want, but with all the talk of people having too many teams as is, I thought I was doing the right thing by seeing if a new person wanted a job in the BXV, and not taking all the head coaching roles myself.

I will definitely not be quitting the AXV or TX in the future. I like the scoring systems I am working with in these roles, and I think that 2 teams is a good number for a person to run. Again, I am not under pressure of too many teams, and I will happily stay on as assistant at the Leeches if required, and I will still stay on as assistant at the Royals in the WXV as I have for a year now.

I hope that clears it up a bit.

Yeah good work man, props to you for looking to share the jobs around :)

I have often wondered if I have too many teams but I co-coach with the same blokes in all my XV's so really my team is coached by 2 or in most cases 3 different people. I get that unless you get on well with your co-coaches, that pathway won't always work.

As said before, its good to see people thinking outside their little square and helping others crack their way into the XV's :)

Well explained BB -

Still now applications though - Where are all the new coaches that want teams especially with BB to mentor them.

I don't think their is anyone at the moment who doesn't have team who wants a gig...

Probably because there are over 100 XV positions now. :P

Props to BB for trying to share it around, hopefully we can get some fresh faces into it for BXV.

Hi, I would like to apply for the position as the coach of the Leeds Leeches.

Best XV
Def: Johnson, Malceski, Geary, Dixon
Mid: Deledio(C), Shuey(VC), Hayes, van Berlo
Ruc: Jacobs
Fwd: LeCras, Howe, Winderlich, Waite
Utl: Foley, Carazzo

XV's Experience
Assistant Coach of Taiwan Dolphins (AXV)

This team could do very well in the future, though it would take a while to get there. The best XV would be competitive but it falls short on the fact that there is a lack of true premium players. The best players such as Deledio or Shuey are capable of getting a few low scores, which is worrying. There are a few good young players such as Viney, Dixon, Howe, etc. The team would probably be best improved by removing as much older players as possible. This would involve a long rebuilding proccess but older players like Hayes, Carazzo or Rodan aren't improving.
:)
