Thoughts on Arnot? I don't think he deserved to be dropped the first time around and I dunno if that makes me positive (because he deserves a spot) or negative (because the Tigers might drop him regardless) about his JS.
I really need a downgrade option soon...

To be honest I know sweet flower all about the guy so you're probably better off talking to the Richmond supporters.

A look at his VFL stats certainly makes for interesting reading. On the weekend he had 8 kicks, 23 handballs, 4 tackles and 2 goals.

His scores this season have been 83, 81, 94, 47, 128, 82, 82, 92 and 99. Those numbers would be much better if his kick/handball ratio wasn't so poor, along with giving away 78 points in free kicks.
Lol. Well from what I've heard, Arnot has a bad temper and that along with his aggression is what held him back from getting games at the senior level earlier. Hopefully he's fixed all that up. Also LaHug, if Arnot does perform on the weekend I would expect him to keep his soot, by with Tuck out of the side, he may be the one that falls out so I don't think he has good JS, but when he plays he should score well.

Yeah, I'm about 70/30 on my two trade options this week. Both involve McPharlin to Hanley.

Option 1 is to trade out Ellis to Heath Shaw
Option 2 is Dwyer to Arnot

The reason I'm only 70% on option 1 is I still think Ellis could be a keeper. But, if he's not, I have to trade him this week before it's too late! It's doing my head in!!!

Mr.Craig

I just traded Ellis out of my Elite team...for Josh Hunt.

I think you should move on him.

Wow unique

0.57% ownership

Looked at his scores and it's not bad at all.

Take out the first 2 scores of 38 and -1 which were both green vesters and he's averaging 83. Take out the 56 when he was red vested and it's 90.
The 2 greens were  expected, you could say. And the red vest looks like Scott did eeny meeny miny mo and landed on him, was not doing too bad and easily beating Freo.

Still a vest chance IMO but if he avoids them then he could be a good pick-up, I'm not in the market for defenders this week so it's a miss from me. Demons this week. I'm sure you've weighed all this up, i'm just blabbering on. The main thing that worries my is his history of only having a career high season average of 70.

Mr.Craig

I traded Hunt into my Elite team not my Dream Team. ;)

Agree about this part, I want to keep him but if he doesn't become a keeper you have to trade him out this week  :-\

Whenever you post these scores, I always wonder how they'd translate to the AFL. Is there any consistent pattern? Like, do scores around 120 regularly correlate to scores of 100 in DT? Or is there no way to judge it?

Good question. Let's look at how some of last year's draftees have performed this year...

Whitfield 2012 - 108.6
Whitfield 2013 - 69.2

Wines 2012 - 115.4
Wines 2013 - 79.6

Vlastuin 2012 - 88.1
Vlastuin 2013 - 72.7

Toumpas 2012 - 68.4*
Toumpas 2013 - 46.6

Neade 2012 - 62.4
Neade 2013 - 48.0

Macrae 2012 - 95.1
Macrae 2013 - 69.3

Hrovat 2012 - 103.6
Hrovat 2013 - 61.3

Mayes 2012 - 59.8*
Mayes 2013 - 70.8

*SANFL Seniors

Obviously one of the differences between the AFL and other leagues is the use of subs and that has impacted many of the averages above. Having said that, you can generally expect a 25%-40% reduction in DT scoring when the players move up to AFL.

Keep in mind that some of those averages could well improve in the remainder of the season...

Craig you are a legend, question buddy!

When do you see Crouch, Kelly, Aish, Dunston, Harigan going in the draft?

I'm a bit shy about making predictions after being so wide of the mark last year. :-\

The ranges I think they will be are Aish 2-5, Crouch 5-15, Kelly 5-15, Dunstan 5-20, Hourigan 15-25.

It probably won't be until September that I have a firmer idea in my mind where they all fit.
