Here's what Neil Balme said in the Addy today
Jimmy Bartel - Still on a modified training program. Should be available round 1
James Podsiadly - May play in the NAB cup
Mitch Duncan - ditto
Mitch Brown - Will be brought back "gradually" (whatever that means)
Billie Smedts - currently sidelined with a leg injury
Travis Varcoe - Running and catching, but no tackling yet.
Marcus Drum - at least 6 to 8 weeks away. Marcus must have been a terrible person in a previous life. He can't take a trick.

Hope this is a help to you considering any of these players this season.

I may be wrong (probably am) but I'm sure I read somewhere that he's only played 3 games since coming down here from Freo. He even gets injured at training. :(

I can't believe some of the injuries he's had...

Detached retina, broken nose, etc Injuries you wouldn't normally expect to see.

An occupational hazard I guess Fletch. He's due for some good luck though, maybe this season we'll see what he can do. He's off to a bad start though, and you wonder how long the cats will persevere with him. :(

harsh Luigi, though I was watching 'Australia's Top Athlete' or whatever it's called and (though my beer gut is getting bigger myself) he had a bit of flab around his tummy - not what I would think a professional athlete would have anyway ...

i think so. They aren't going to risk him in the NAB cup, but will be ready for R1.
