Everybody's favourite knockout competition is back!

A simple game...

The lowest scoring team is eliminated each week, until we have a winner!

You can get immunity from elimination if you had the highest score the week before (up until round 10) - in which case the 2nd lowest scoring team is eliminated.

So, who has what it takes to be World Idol?

Round 1

A rocky start for the new beginning, Christchurch (978) will hope that is its last sub 1000 score for years to come.

Round 2

Mexico City (1154) INCREDIBLY lucky that Berlin (1149) missed the partial lockout, and had Wehr sub out fellow teammate Callan Ward

Round 3

Fear Cairo, as they add Beijing (1009) to it's list of (of 2) World Idol removals.

PNL (1192) was next in line

Round 4

Oh how the smoten are smited. Cairo (1106) at least went down dragging a couple teams with 'em.

PNL (1210) was next on the list.

Round 5

Their notice sent last week was lost in the mail, as PNL (1165) exits the competition, protecting Dublin (1185) from elimination.

Round 6

With Sam Darcy no longer around, London (1154) was on borrowed time, taking the bullet for New York (1206).

Tis the week of New York (1183).

Round 8

No Bont, no Idol. Pacific (1185) pays the price of an off week from the great man.

It was quite a margin til the next one, you're on notice Cape Town (1300).

Round 9

Last years runners up have had a down patch that lasted too long, meaning Rome (1250) must now leave the competition.

Rio (1276) is now on notice.

Round 10

It was a 'mare week for Kate, but at least Cape Town (1186) still managed a win.

It's getting tough now though, as Toronto and Mexico City were next on the block at 1384!

Round 11

The depth at Seoul (1207) has been strained recently - it will have time to correct for its finals push, but not for Idol.

Of course, Buenos Aires (1263) live to see another day.

Round 12

A disaster week for Mexico City (1105), feeling every point of its vital lost percentage.

They did a magnificent leap to Tokyo's (1200) defence.
