Rd 3 is here and we see some match ups which may separate some teams on the ladder. Will we have 3 undefeated teams after this round (2 teams playing each other) or will surprises occur. Can any of the bottom 4 gain first win.

Teams are to be lodged in this format in this thread:

Def: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx
Mid: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx
Ruck: xxxx
Fwds: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx
Util: xxxx xxxx (can be in any position)
Emergencies: xxxx  xxxx  xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxxx (name in priority order and post in UF)

Captain, Vice Captain and emergency vice captain to be specified,

For games this year we will be using partial lock outs:
Captains, Vice Captain and EVC will be locked at bounce of Dogs/Swans game Thursday, and Demons/Bomber Players at bounce on Friday.
Full lockout Bounce of Suns/Giants game Saturday 3.35pm

Teams to be lodged in UF and this thread with Emergencies in order so Admin can make the required adjustments if necessary

Note when changing team lodgements use quote or create new post.  Remember also to update team in UF.

Draw for Rd 3 with First Named Teams having the Home Ground Advantage.

Wrexham Knights v Oxford Lions
2nd v 6th - Knights were unlucky last week with a couple of late withdrawals causing substitute players OOP,  The big question for Knioghts is can the contain the inform duo of Wines and Keays. If they can achieve this they can inflict a defeat for the undefeated Lions.  Lions had a massive score last week due to their midfield and this is expected to be repeated this week so Lions to win this.
Hastings Hurricanes v Winchester Werewolves
4th v 15th Should be an easy win for Hurricanes based on ladder positions. Wolves are rebuilding and may cause an upset but hard to see this happening. Hurricanes for a win and increase in %.
Staines Steins v Liverpool Rams
7th v 8th - Steins bounced back strongly following their surprise defeat by Hoods in 1st Round with the 3rd highest scores. Question is can the Steins surprise packets Amon and Ryan keep form up, will twin towers Grundy/Gawn find some form. Rams have been competitive and unfortunately can not see them stopping the Steins.
Birmingham Dragons v Grope Lane Giants
14th v 10th. Giants were somewhat disappointing last week after strong start to the season and will be looking to avenge defeat. Dragons run into a red hot Magic outfit last week and will be seeking some form of redemption,  Little hard to pick this one but if real Giants turn up should account for the Dragons.
Huddersfield Hawks v Bradford Badgers
11th v 16th - Badgers have been hit hard by injuries and face a rebuilding Hawks outfit, Unless Badgers start regaining some players can not see them shooting the Hawks down.
Swansea Breakers v Manchester Magic
5th v 12th magic had the highest score last week and will be hard to see the Breakers containing them so a win to Magic increasing their percentage.
Leeds Leeches v Nottingham Hoods
9th v 13th Leeches have been competitive for Rds 1 and 2 with close losses. Team is starting to look solid. Hoods were hampered last start with COVID striking ruckman and thus struggled to get over the Hawks after surprisingly accounting for Steins in Rd 1. Dependent on how rucks recover from COVID (both Rucks have had it) will decide whether Hoods get over the line. Could be a close one if this occurs and Leeches could surprise however if Naitanui recovers and plays favour Hoods.
Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs v Blackpool Bunnies
1st v 3rd - My match of the round and at the moment think it is a toss of the coin. Bunnies surprisingly are the highest scoring team for this year and Hedgehogs are 3rd best defensive teams. Can the Hedgies defence contain the Bunnies attack or can the Bunnies find a way to break it. The Bunnies will also have to try and tame Hedgies captain Lachie Neale who is in great form and one of the reasons they sit No 1. With no certainty going Hedgies in a close one.

Let the Banter begin.
