Danger vs. Mitchell now that Danger will miss round 1.
If he does indeed miss round 1, Mitchell easily.
I'd lean towards Titch too, but I wouldn't say easily. Titch is more consistent but Dusty has a huge ceiling so is an awesome VC option with or without Danger whereas Titch is more a fallback C option.
He said Danger vs. Mitchell, not Martin vs. Mitchell ;)
Whoops. I just assumed it was Dusty vs Titch and mis-read it.

Merrett v Gibbs v Parker

Merrett has averaged 111 and 109 in past 2 seasons so is probably the safest option but how much room does he have to improve?

Parker's last 5 averages have been 86,108,99,112,99,... surely is due for another jump and has completed a full pre-season and is looking very good in JLT

Gibbs is now in a much better team with plenty of quality mids around him, attended the most center bounces for adelaide during the JLT and you'd think wouldn't cop a tag over sloane. Looks like he should get a lot of the ball and also push forward and kick a couple of snags.

Who would you guys choose and why?
Because I have him Merrett.
Parker is my "POD if I could fit him in" along with Neale.
Gibbs has had chances with a stronger     team and midfield when Judd was playing but didn't really hit superpremo status. Lots of points to go around Crouch,Brouch,Sloane,Laird,Sauce,Gibbs,Lynch I see a 105 max avg.

Merrett has competition for points too, but is the standout mid in SC and on field. Definitely has room to improve at his young age.
Swans seem to share points evenly like Hawks but Parker is my pick to outscore JPK ( may be managed more) and Hanners ( interrupted PS)

So Merrett>Parker>Gibbs imo

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzerrett!!

Gibbs will have Crouch brothers and Sloane taking points of him. Parker is interesting as there has always been JPK, Hanners and more recently Heeney sharing the points, but think he’ll be lucky to push 110 imo especially with Hanners back.

Zerrett is an elite kick and I’m backing him to avg 115+.

Sauce or Goldy?
Sauce for boring but safe 95.
Goldy for potential 110 but with Pruess risk.
I prefer Ryder and Kreuz but bye and cost/injury history respectively.

Sauce or Goldy?

I think if you take Goldy he is a chance of being  a keeper. Jacobs probably only stays until after the Port Gold Coast bye and then gets upgraded to Ryder. So it must be Goldy.

Sloane  V  Neale

Neale! I think he's gonna go big this year. Just can't fit him in because of bye :(

I'm in  a big pickle in defence at the moment.

Elliot Yeo v Rory Laird

also

Jake Lloyd v James Sicily

My heart says Lloyd and Laird because they've served me well.

But with Smith out for Adelaide I feel Laird will get a bit more attention.

And with the other, I just simply ask who I think will be better and my head says Sicily.

Help.

Laird easily over Yeo and the other is a toss of the coin for me. Sicily will be frustrating at times but his ceiling is better than Lloyds

Laird and Lloyd for me. Safer combination as keepers imo.
Both with the runs on the board over a longer period of time, Lloyd even comes with a concussion 'discount' from last year as well!

Yeo could benefit from the loss of Mitchell/Priddis, though I think it's more likely that the team as a whole will suffer. Sicily could go bananas and become a keeper, lots of question marks though.

Easily over Yeo? Laird definitely out of the 2, but you wouldn't think Yeo would be too far behind with the amount of midfield minutes he'll get.

I reckon Yeo scores better in the sweeper/interceptor role off halfback than in the mids. Agree that he won't be that far away from Laird though
