Think getting out in sheff should be less then a duck?

You're probably right, -5 I'd say.

PowerBug

Ok can alter that if another coach likes the thought.

I'll keep adding things as I like them, and discussion is open.

PowerBug

I'm not sure whether to use run outs, as it's very difficult to get stats on run outs from previous matches, I would have to open each match individually to see how many run outs there were. This is only an issue for the matches played so far this season though.

idk, thoughts on that and the other stuff there?

Nige

I suppose you could just count them as another dismissal?

The scoring system looks good. For the One Day scoring, maybe it would be worth adding a bonus of around 15 points for a SR between 100-124.99? I don't think you'd have too many players getting the 125+ bonus.

Agree with this. Other than that I like it.

PowerBug

Made a couple of changes:
- included a corresponding economy rate for the bowlers to add to the SR bonus for bats
- Changed Maidens in Shield to 2 points
- Getting Out in Shield now -5.

I am in the process of working out all the player averages for the Shield so far this season, if I notice any major differences in what Batsmen average compared to bowlers I may need to alter the scoring slighty. :)

PowerBug

Due to the average scores of bowlers thus far being too much greater than that of batsman, I've altered the scoring that has made the overall averages in the Shield closer together

- 100 runs in an innings is 60 points, not 30
- 5WI is now 30, not 50
- 10WM is now 60, not 75

I will now head over to the list of players thread, and I will be placing minimum bid prices on every player. I hope by the start of February I will be able to open up the first round of bidding :)

Do bowlers get -10 for a duck in Sheffield shield?

PowerBug

Everyone that scores a duck gets -10
