Have seen his name mentioned and have no idea why?  Doubt he will play all year unless there are injuries.

#28. Thomas Cole: One of our best. Remained composed in possession, unlike many of his more senior teammates. Won an equal team high of 10 contested possessions in addition to contributions further up the ground. Allowed Ballantyne far too much space however and was punished for it. Still looks a certain start for Round 1 after what has been an impressive pre-season.

This preseason its been so great to see Tommy Cole really come on to break into our already strong back line.

He's arguably been our most consistent player throughout all the games this preseason and I love his attack on the ball and willingness to take the game on.

After the pre season cole definitely gets a game round 1, which along with jetta going back frees up both yeo and duggan to play predominantly midfield.

Whats the likelihood that Tom Cole holds his spot as best 22 this year?

Pretty reasonable I think. He's better than his main competition in Nelson and Watson.

We'll see. Cole worries me in the air and i think he might find it difficult to not get pushed off the ball for a while yet.

Hopefully he proves me wrong.

These are just some posts on BF.  There are definitely some people in eaglesman's camp but also other fans that are more optimistic.

Is Will Brodie worth a look in over Brayshaw seeing as Hall and Hanley are both out for first few rounds.. Lacking midfield depth as it is.

Or stick with Brayshaw???? Only want one premium priced mid rookie and it's between these two guys.

Agree with this. If going one then Brayshaw but both appear to be decent picks.

Really tough, Brodie has an extra preseason but his DE has been woeful. Brayshaw scored a ton in every TAC match so is a bit of a magnet. Does 10k make a difference?

Murphy's a tough one to pick with a lot to come back into that fwd line. Obviously not a like for like but with Tex and Lynch to come back in you'd say his JS isn't great

Hugh won't be playing since he's underdone after his achilles surgery in the preseason, sounds like CEY will be playing instead.

Mitch Cleary saying Lynch is catching a later flight apparently, guess we'll find out when teams are out.
