Murphy from Crows, what’s happening?
Will play and score well.
That seems hopeful. Would've thought if he was playing that they would've mentioned it along with Fogarty and Doedee. Could still happen though.

They even put videos on their website today showing Pyke telling them they are both in

Surely Murphy is not playing this week
Spot there to fill the Charlie Cameron role and Murphy was the only one to look likely in JLT - with Milera not in great nick at the moment Murphy gets first crack. Think he at least has a spot until Knight returns in 3-4 weeks.

Late in

Bahaha, keep dreaming yung David. I'm sure all the crows, medium forwards especially, are fit and raring to go.

RD what are your thoughts on Coles chances of playing after R1?

Very likely.

It seems like an obvious fit, I'd pick him cause we need that forward pressure but since we didn't announce it yesterday, I can't see him being named, also Milera is being groomed as half back at the moment so I doubt they're competing for the same spot.

Tempted to take Cole over Byrne and use him to loophole Doedee and Finlayson for the first round.

Just been looking at the rookie % ownerships and pretty much all of them have skyrocketed in the last 2 days. Pretty much all over 40% now.

Not sure how much that has to do with limited rookie options or the SC articles telling people to pick them all.

It's because when you are picking players you can sort by ownership % really easily.

I'm taking Coffield regardless whether he plays round 1 or not. Should be in by round 2, round 3 at the very latest he is that good. And it will be too early to cull a rookie if he is on the bubble, plus it'll be handy him coming in a round or 2 later than starters as he will peak out at different time giving more upgrade options mid season.

He is the best defender rookie in supercoach by a mile and I called him to be the best player of his draft early in the TAC 18s season.

If he was 123k I'd say that's fair enough but he's 171k, that 50k should be put to better use, whether or not you think he's a gun. The other point is he's not big with the contested possessions, was running under 30% at junior level. Don't think that will translate well in supercoach.

Yep agree with this, bit too expensive to sit on the bench and hope he comes in.

The Saints have Brisbane and North first up, if they get a couple of wins you'd think the team won't change. Unless there's a reason he'll come in round 2 (like a minor injury) you're better off looking at him when on the bubble.

Colty

I think im picking Cole, there seems to be a consensus with WC fans that he will be an automatic in when he is available for selection.

eaglesman

I can’t believe people rate tom Cole. He looked absolutely disgusting all preseason.

Murphy on the flight to Melbourne, could just be an emergency but fingers crossed.

I'd say Fogarty would be dropped before Murphy, IF Murphy is named.

Yeah Fog probably before Murphy, if he plays, since he's the direct replacement for Tex, someone like Jenkins could be dropped instead if he's trash and Fog kills it though, but whether that happens or is just a dream of mine, who knows.

As for Murphy, the only one on the injury list in direct competition with the spot Murphy would be in, if named, would be Knight and he's 3-4 weeks away along with a couple weeks in the SANFL most likely. Another going for the same spot but is fit at the moment would be Gallucci, but Murphy seems preferred to him at the moment anyway.

Obviously there could be another injury we don't know about yet which is why Murphy is flying, such as to Tommy Lynch, Gov, or Betts, so if he's in because of them is out and it's only minor, I wouldn't touch him. But if he's in (which I doubt by the way since no announcement), while all our mainstays in our forward line are playing, then I'll be picking him.
