You guys know why the sliding rule came in right?

Yes, but it is bullshower seeing guys go in head first and get penalised for it. It should be used for incidents like this rather than guys doing the courageous thing and putting their heads over the footy that make contact below the knees.

the wrong goal decision actually helped in the end. from the kick in you scored a goal within like 5 seconds. the classic 7 point play. that's how I look at it anyway

This - definitely wasn't the match-deciding moment IMO.

And Jay, agree about the sliding rule I think it is a joke. Happened to Cotch a couple of times as well, there's nothing better than seeing blokes like Cotch and Sloane put their head over the ball, but seeing those free kicks last night really was annoying.
Yep I saw it happen to Cotchin in the first quarter and even I was complaining about it. Like what does the AFL want, for guys to not attack the footy anymore?!

Players will adapt. Don't like it either because its a natural thing to do, but the rule was put in for a reason

Yeah mate, I was the same. Was pretty pissed when I saw it happen to both of them, you don't like to see those free kicks from either side :(

It also happened to Cotch in last quarter I believe so once it was given against Cotch, Sloane was always going to get penalised.

It's not like Sloane slid in knees first. He dived basically head first to go get the footy and somehow gets penalised. Crap rule and it has to go.

History tells us that the Tigers will win at the new and GREAT Adelaide Oval :o  Nah am serious :o

Crows will be lucky to win, have tipped Richmond :o  the Yo-Yo lives >:(
Tbags a genius, pity though :'(

Well, one wouldn't think so now hey, but sheesh, nothing surprises me this year

My tip is we somehow lose to North down in freezerville and then flog a hapless Saints at home to finish tenth or eighth

On the the Tigers can finish ninth :P
