The Crows should just keep recruiting players from the greatest football zone in the universe, the Calder Cannons football factory.

Jake Lever, Rory Atkins, Daniel Talia, Eddie Betts, Richard Douglas, Brent Reilly

Would be interesting to see how that stacks up against a SA team.
Here's an attempt at an SA one.

Back: Sam Fisher, Phil Davis, Corey Enright

Half back: Shaun Burgoyne, Heath Grundy, Shannon Hurn

Centre: Ryan Griffen, Bernie Vince, Hamish Hartlett

Half forward: Chad Wingard, Matthew Pavlich, Shane Edwards

Forward: Justin Westhoff, Jay Schulz, Paul Puopolo

Ruck: Sam Jocobs, Bryce Gibbs, Lachie Neale

Interchange: Scott Thompson, Jack Redden, Brodie Grundy, Andrew Mackie

Left out Rory Laird on purpose :P

Others of note: Jack Viney, Brodie Smith, Justin Clarke, Brad Ebert, Levi Greenwood

Nothing like a bold statement to liven things up.  :P

All I'm saying is that when it comes to players leaving clubs, you really need to be realistic. You're obviously angry because players want to leave your club, but you've got to ask yourself why they're leaving in the first place. When drafted, each player comes with their own risk. That's why clubs talk to the draftees.

You don't see Wingard leaving to go to a Melbourne club.  ;)

WA has almost been breaking even with Vic in terms of top 10 talent lately but other than Wingard and perhaps Boak, SA hasn't produced a gun top 10 pick since Ryan Griffen. Their first player taken was #35 last year. Bit difficult for the Crows to target home grown talent when there isn't any.

Would be interesting to see what the ratio is a few years after each draft and to see which players have reached a consistent level or been dumped...
Isn't Boak a Victorian?

Yeah whoops meant to say Hartlett.

Big Mac

So, basically, in the case where a RFA wants to leave their club, but the club is able to meet the terms of any potential contract at another club, we throw the whole RFA thing out the window?

Yes

Mr.Craig

So which player/s would Crows supporters like? Realistically.

Do we really need a small forward and another slow midfielder?

Get flowered, stop drafting all our SA and WA players then...something like the last 5 years, over 60% of draftees have come from SA/WA..no talent in Vic obviously...  ::)

I think you'll find that you could not be more wrong. The Calder Cannons alone almost match the entire state of SA.

2014

TAC CUP: 45 senior/14 rookie
WAFL: 9/5
SANFL: 9/8
VFL: 5 rookies

haha.

far out, adelaide just cries and cries when players leave their team. You don't see me doging about treloar/ hampton, or sydney complaining about Jetta, and none of us get players ever from go home factors. That's just this year as well.

You don't see brisbane name calling their players when they're constantly systematically bailed on.
