Mykelti Lefau is currently part of the best 23 for Richmond, but it is a developing team and there were no guarantees when he was drafted that he was going to be a 200-game stalwart, particularly given his non-traditional background in rugby. He is blessed with a strong kick, which helps, and he has gradually learned the craft of forward and ruck positions well enough that he would probably get a game at half of the other clubs, even at this early stage of his development. Whether he will be in the next Richmond team that competes in finals is yet to be seen.
