Keidean Coleman comes back into the senior Brisbane side after a year out with an ACL rupture, having missed out on another premiership medal to add to the one he earned in 2024. In his absence at half back line for the Lions, Jaspa Fletcher was shifted back from a wing and made one flank his own, while Dayne Zorko continued to accumulate and Darcy Wilmot became a weapon with his line-breaking sprints. Kiddy's specialty is quality disposal by foot, which along with the departure of Brandon Starcevich makes one wonder if his position will become back pocket.

Keidean Coleman is a point of difference pick in fantasy this year, and he has a few points to his upside to go over. Daniel Rich is getting old and is already injured in the preseason, and even with Rich in the side last year Coleman managed to get a lot of use as a quality distributor by foot. Darcy Wilmot is probably going to have more half back time this year but he is a bench rotation player at this stage with Coleman entrenched in the Lions best 22. Coleman is probably more of a Supercoach prospect as his game is built on efficiency rather than weight of possession.
Keidean Coleman is in a fair few fantasy teams this week, covering for injuries and omissions elsewhere in the rucks and forwards. He was only supposed to be a stepping stone player but many coaches will have to ride him through the bye period, only upgrading him once he has his bye in round 14. If he's still in your side then you're probably not going well, but maybe he will surprise his owners by delivering a startable score or two to push his way into your best 18. At least he's a green dot, unlike many popular picks going into the season hump.
Keidean won't win Coleman
After missing out on selection during the 2018 draft, Keidean Coleman was taken twelve months on after a productive season as a half forward flanker. He played 18 matches for the Lions' undefeated NEAFL side, averaging 16 touches and kicking three majors on three separate occasions. Renowned for his smooth movement and dash, Coleman is expected to continue his development at NEAFL level in 2020. Never a consistent disposal winner as a junior, the youngster is unlikely to present as a fantasy option for some time yet.
