Kade Chandler has been one of the rare bright lights for Melbourne in season 2025, moved up from a forward role to mostly start on a wing and making use of the expanded territory to show off his accumulation skills. The man they call Google can certainly find the footy, and if Simon Goodwin can be criticised for other things at the Demons he should be praised for unlocking bigger production from Chandler. As the club searches for a better mix in the centre, and with Christian Petracca playing more forward, Chandler's role could expand further.

Chandler finds a handle
Nine tackles against the Swans in round 22 was the season highlight for Kade Chandler, renowned for his competitive endeavour which he demonstrated in his sole AFL match. Chandler will seek greater opportunity in 2020, although will have to contend with Kysaiah Pickett. The fantasy community need the left footer to be cemented in the first team.
Chandler has some friends
It's not often you find a player who tackles more than he disposes of the footy ending up on an AFL list, but that is the case with Kade Chandler who laid 19 tackles and registered 17 touches across three games at the Championships. Melbourne's drafting strategy in the off season included a number of Richmond-style pressure forwards, with Chandler the most extreme example. He starts at the bottom of the depth chart and will work on his accumulation in the VFL.
