Harvey Thomas is one of a number of small forwards for the Giants who have been used in tandem to try to live up to the quality of Brent Daniels, arguably the league's finest exponent of the high half forward who does wind sprints up and down the ground to tire out opposition back flankers, and then get to the break of a tsunami play as it washes towards goal. His starting position has included some starts on a wing at times, especially after Callan Ward's season-ending injury, and with Binga still injured it will be he, Toby Bedford, Xavier O'Halloran and Darcy Jones running ragged.
