Cooper Sharman has been on the fringes of selection at St Kilda, with his best games in his short career so far coming when he was asked to play stopping roles on the opposition's best interceptor. Injuries to Ben King and Anthony Caminiti means St Kilda is scratching around for talls in attack, and Sharman will probably have to provide more of a leading target starting inside forward 50 than he is used to. The Saints may have had designs on another finals berth in 2024 but their results have been poor, meaning that experimenting with the likes of Sharman is the right move.
