Connor Budarick is on plenty of fantasy benches today as the seventh forward picked in salary cap squads, the latest in a long line of Gold Coast fringe players to pass through fantasy lineups... with decidedly mixed results up to now. Is he there because he's good enough for the level, or was he best left at the bottom of the barrel? The Suns are a historically poor franchise, with their best players pinched by stronger clubs, leaving the likes of Budarick to play roles in a side that needs more quality than can be provided by honest but average workers.

Cunning plan, Budarick
Suns Academy captain Connor Budarick hit the rookie list after after a series of strong performances in the NAB League. Across a five game involvement, he averaged 25 touches, six marks and eight tackles. Budarick requires time and plenty of protein shakes to develop enough to be able to compete at senior level, the slight utility needing to add size to the frame. One for the future, avoid for the time being.
