  • 2020 DT PRE-SEASON OUTLOOK (posted 4 Jan 2020)
    Jack visits the basement
Like his team, Jack Riewoldt suffered through injury in first part of last season, gradually built form in wins after the bye and roared into September at full speed. His only fantasy scores above his 2018 average of 85 came in round 23 and the grand final. At his best in the old Tiger attacking structure, he could roam up the ground to provide link play and then drifted forward to cash in, as a slightly deeper version of Tom T. Lynch.
Riewoldt is due at least twenty points of bounce back scoring even if he only reaches the level he was at before his peak. We have still not seen his true ceiling when fit in the more traditional forward line set-up with Tom J. Lynch at CHF. Last season suggests he may revert to a more boom-bust pattern where he scores heavily in big wins but can go missing when supply is scarce, in the manner of a normal full forward. He should be drafted in middle rounds.

could have a really good game this week playing north Melbourne if he can kick against collingwood maybe 10 against north ? - daniel87 - 154 months ago
Should I get you into my side? Or shouldnt i? Big question! - Bennyy - 154 months ago
2 more round he will be at 260k DT. He is probably a better SC pick though. - Footy God - 154 months ago
When will he be at his cheapest? With the 0 in is average will that make him cheapest after this week, or will he continue to lose value for a couple of weeks? - Zoolander - 154 months ago
well hardwick is happy about it. http://w.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/106599/default.aspx - maanco - 157 months ago
I dont think thats going to help him. I think for his height and position he should be tipping 95kg. - migman19 - 157 months ago
has lost 3kg over the preseason so far, weighs in at 90kg atm - maanco - 157 months ago
big v you must be a richmond supporter because i would be shocked - EAGLE4LIFE - 163 months ago
Capable of kicking a haul of 100+ goals for the Tigers. Don't be surprised if he does it next season and take the Tigers to the finals for the first time since 2001. A replacement for Lance Franklin in which they overlooked in the 2004 AFL Draft. - BigV - 163 months ago
He won't win the coleman.. - MarkPlow - 164 months ago
There are 5 good full backs but only three that would be good on Riewoldt ATM - CamT - 164 months ago
There are only three good fullbacks. He will play on Tarrant from Freo again but that's all. He is the only full forward who can get off the ground. I'm looking forward to him taking 5 candidates for mark of the year against Presti. Coming from nowhere? I backed him at $81 for the Coleman Medal and everyone was laughing. - CamT - 164 months ago
basing it on the fact that he all of a sudden came from nowhere.. Now that teams have taken notice of him they will put more effort into shutting him down.. And the teams that he has been dominating against have been very bad sides - MarkPlow - 164 months ago
Angus Graham was the spark for JRiewoldt. Look at his scores as soon as a good ruckman started feeding the midfield. JRiewoldt smashes defenders one-on-one. - CamT - 164 months ago
yes, he is in red hot form in arguably the weakest side in the comp. unless he gets an injury or something serious happens to him he will be a star, what the hell are u basing that on markplow? - Jim Jam - 164 months ago
In red hot form but I reckon it will wear off and he won't actually end up being that good of a player - MarkPlow - 164 months ago
Who is better: Roo snr (the one injured) or Roo jr (this bloke)? - BigV - 164 months ago
    goodes and duffman - mehaff17 - 164 months ago
riewoldt jr and hargrave or goodes and duffman? - higgins76 - 164 months ago
The new Richo!! - BigV - 164 months ago
