Zane Duursma is playing the same role for North Melbourne as Curtis Taylor did before his delisting in the off season. He is technically about as tall as a third tall forward needs to be in the modern game, but lacks the bulk to break open packs so his one-wood is using hard run to provide a link option on transition, especially on the flat track at Docklands. Hitting the logos is one of the key skills of a tall forward, but Taylor's career was undistinguished at the lowly Kangaroos and Duursma has only contributed flashes so far in his budding career. One hopes for bigger things.

Zane Duursma is an interesting fantasy asset going into season 2024: a first-year player who obviously has a lot of talent and can win his own footy, but whose body shape dictates that he plays a half forward flank position and gets most of his ball taking marks, including contested grabs drifting across packs. While this can make for an impressive highlights reel, particularly when he can turn those +6s into +12s, it leaves his base scoring lower than one would want for a fantasy rookie cash cow. North Melbourne's midfield supply is probably not good enough to rely on.
