After an impressive debut season, forgotten Giant Zac Giles-Langdon's 2019 was the polar opposite. A preseason foot issue delayed his start to the year, with his season coming to an end in July due to ankle surgery. Rewinding to 2018, he delivered two laudable games of 90 - outliers in a typical low-scoring, crumbing-forward season. Giles-Langdon is raring to regain his spot in the starting lineup after an anonymous 2019 and is lighting up the track in the preseason, finishing second in the 2km time trial. The push to dethrone Brent Daniels from the small pressure forward position won't be easy, and in any case his scores have never been start-worthy. Pass.
Restart for ZGL power

ZGL has energy
Renowned for his work rate and ability to apply pressure, Zac Giles-Langdon debuted in the opening round and played every match from round 6 on. He was terrific against the Crows in round 11, kicking three majors and applying a season-high eight tackles in the 16-point win. He earned plaudits throughout the season with his regular contribution to the scoreboard, kicking a goal in 16 of 21 appearances. A foot injury will see him out for the first month. The competition for the small forward role will be at fever pitch in 2019. Brett Daniels, Daniel Lloyd and Giles-Langdon will battle between them for one to two spots on offer. Playing the most games of those three-last season, it appears Langdon has established himself atop the pecking order, though that injury won't help. An improved running capacity will push him to more contests. Expect him to remain a nuisance for AFL coaches but not fantasy.
