The former Bombers winger failed to fulfil his hopes of regular AFL football, Travis Colyer eventually flitting between the AFL and WAFL. The ex-Don produced similar statistical outputs to 2018, increasing disposals and declining in marks. Colyer is another runner aiming at the vacant wing spots and competing with a host of other candidates, so a big preseason will be required. Regardless, he has never produced desirable fantasy figures and expect the trend to continue.
Low price on Colyer

Colyer goes FIFO
In case Ross Lyon decided there wasn’t enough speed in his lineup with the Hill brothers, he’s brought in the quick-footed Travis Colyer. During his eight-year campaign at Essendon, Colyer was only able to produce one full season, in which he averaged a tad under 70. The supplements scandal ban wrote off 2016, and foot surgery limited his most recent season to just eight matches. Colyer has personally declared that his best football is still ahead of him, and he will relish the fresh start in WA. His experience will be an attribute to the young squad, but his scoring ability was never in the spectrum that fantasy coaches desire. For that reason, Colyer is best avoided in the draft and should only be snapped up from the free agent pool if his game style takes a dramatic positive turn.
Long run for Colyer
Finally establishing himself in the senior Essendon team in his eighth year in the system, Travis Colyer reached 20 disposals only six times out of 21 and scored at about replacement level for a wingman. He dropped away in August but a rest saw him play a decent final. Colyer's journey has finally ended with a best 22 spot for the Bombers... for now, as he is unlikely to be in plans for their next flag. His lack of long-term job security and unimpressive numbers mean he is free agent fodder.
